The University of Tokyo will start offering two online open courses for anyone in the world this September.

The university recorded the lectures for one of the courses, about the origins of the universe, on Thursday.

The University of Tokyo will offer the free courses, conducted in English, through a global open online system called 'Coursera', launched last year by professors at Stanford University in the United States.

With all the information of all time freely available on-line, the model of learning is going to move away from traditional .gov schools. imo

We have the same thing here in the states. You don't get college credit but you get the knowledge.

Any perceived compliance with unconstitutional “laws” or orders put forth by government employees is NOT recognition of their authority; it is simply the result of carefully calculated submission to an entity exhibiting superior firepower.

People will still pay thru the nose here in the States. The average student loan is app. $30k, with their interest soon to double to 6.5%. There is no way Uncle Sam is going to give that up.

There is no way Uncle Sam is going to give that up.

I can see them trying. There is also the property tax issue. Not sure what it's like where you are, but here a substantial % of tax revenue goes to schools.

But there is such a thing as competition (which doesn't exist now). A group of smart people can still make money.

This is tailor made for homeschooling and the networking that can go along with it. There is really no need for a school building and other overhead expenses.

I suppose it might depend on whether or not the jews and their enablers screw it up like they did with TV, which was supposed to be educational, and the lotteries which were supposed to go towards schools, and the internet which is for facebook attention whores and porn (not that porn is bad. It's only bad if you pay for it)
