Know why I'm not shocked? Because you have to assume that they've been snooping this way since Algore created the interwebs. It's THEIR system. We're only using it.

You looking for someone to start things for you? A little incitement perhaps?

The more they monitor us, the more resistance they know they face. They should know what we think of the little shit eating maggots in government. Fuck 'em. If they thought more people supported them, they'd have made their move on us long ago. Their PC crap has failed.

First, this internet scanning business was begun under Dubya, y'know the Republican, back in 2007.

Second, considering the volume of stuff going back and forth and nowhere on the internet, detailed snooping would require so much manpower that it would necessitate the hiring of more than a milllion people - the greatest jobs program since the Great Wall of China, and full employment so everyone would be happy.

Instead, what's most likely is that the dots and dashes will likely be analyzed by super-fast computers, programmed to pick out only messages with certain word combinations (in at least a dozen languages) - I am pretty sure that the programming is so highly selective that it brings only a very microscopic percentage of the internet to its human examiners - otherwise the bulk of messages to be analyzed by humans would be impossibly huge.

So, for the moment, your wives won't know what you've been doing with your computer.

I suspect that would still work. Kinda like 'Meta Tags', you know? :-)

Daily, probably...multiplied by X number of felonious invasions against each person per day = billions and billions of felonies each month.

Indeed. The biggest difference in Bush (both of them) and Obama is skin pigmentation. Other than that they all pretty much hate America and what it supposedly stands for.

Americans who have no experience with, or knowledge of, tyranny believe that only terrorists will experience the unchecked power of the state. They will believe this until it happens to them, or their children, or their friends.

ME: This is a valid reason to begin deconstruction of useless government facilities.

Christine : what is that supposed to mean?

Well Christine, we have government as a system to preserve the laws we agree to abide by as a society ...... Right?

The purpose of the department of public safety and motor vehicles is to ensure lawful safety.... so on and so forth this extends to all things government. We pay our taxes to maintain our roads both in integrity and safety. To do that job we build them COmmand centers and provide them with militarys and fema organizations and warehouses and so much Government BS....

What is the point of maintaining any of it if it is pointless?

When the government violates it's own laws on such a massive scale does it matter? Is there truly law here or do the thugs with guns make it up as they go along? Because I agree with the drudge , this is tyranny. A police state. The thugs with guns make it up as they go along.

Seems like a valid reason to deconstruct the unnecessary government buildings and systems since the government is not acting as written but rather it's just a very large gang...

And that is where I encourage rabid discussion because I can't figure it all out myself. Tonight I head out to the NB city council to confront them again. We live in tyranny. I may not be able to get them to admit to that but I can make the declaration in the proper place and forum at least.

How do we fix what is so far gone? I don't have every answer but I do offer encouragement. I know the only way to fix anything is to continue to put in the work till the job is done. Tolerance of the current problems is a big mistake. Way to big to ignore.

I doubt there's much that can be done. It's like a runaway train and all we can is sit by and watch and comment. The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer and things will get arguably worse. Sharing information and ideas to raise awareness is all most of us can do. I don't think tearing down buildings or talk of deconstructing will do much as long as the guys that make the laws have the guys with the guns and badges to back them up and the masses misinformed and properly educated.

Not me, pal. I've already secured a 1971 Mercury Montego wagon, in which I plan to mid-mount a Napier Deltic motor and plenty of skid plates. I'm thinking of fashioning a turret from an old vista-cruiser.

"Make no mistake about it. The strategy of the communist conspiracy has not changed. The tactics only have altered and they are presently designed to develop a climate more favorable to conspiratorial activities. Subversion, infiltration and espionage can best be carried out when the people of a nation have been lulled into a state of lethargy.

Many times I have thought that if this young Republic is to fall before the grinding onslaught of a slave-driven regime, it will not be solely because an enemy-directed fifth column has worked its way into the body politic. Rather, it will be because we who are citizens are indifferent.

It is to me appalling that so few among all the citizens who daily enjoy the God-given blessings of being free Americans are sufficiently interested in their future, and that of their children, to acquaint themselves fully with the facts of communism. Too many people condemn the word yet have not the vaguest notion of the evil which the word encompasses.

A handful of inspired men gave us our freedom. They cannot preserve it for us. That responsibility rests with the individual American. And we must now face the harsh truth that the objectives of communism are being steadily advanced because many of us do not readily recognize the means used to advance them. The communist, meanwhile, does not allow himself the luxury of inertia. He is intensely active. Because of him, the menace of communism in this country will remain a menace until the American people make themselves aware of the techniques of communism. No one who truly understands what it really is can he taken in by it. Yet the individual is handicapped by coming face to face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent.

The straightforward American cannot conceive of another citizen enlisting in the espionage service of a foreign country, or deliberately propagating discontent, hatred and disunity at the orders of an alien group. He cannot believe that any American would serve a philosophy which moves inexorably toward the goal of reducing the status of the individual to that of slave.
Our frontier forefathers faced great dangers. They encountered heat and storm and starvation. Again and again
they joined in battle against a hostile foe. But our forefathers were very much aware of one thing. That was the nature of the enemy they faced. Insofar as possible, they prepared themselves for eventualities. When the campfires flickered low on the long trek west, a watch was set. Those men of the frontier knew that awareness of danger is the first requisite if one is to combat that danger with any degree of effectiveness. Until the American citizen learns for himself the nature of the present menace, communism will continue to be a deadly danger.

The conscientious citizen asks, "How can one be sure what the truth is? How can it be winnowed out of the welter of propaganda which the communists and their apologists spew forth?"

All that I can say is—and I repeat what I have said many times—the American citizen must hew to a line comprised of a little skepticism, a lot of knowledge, monumental faith, and an everlasting desire to get the facts. He must ascertain for himself what the facts are. He must accept nothing less than the facts— neither the majority version nor the minority version. He must view all the evidence until the face of truth is plain."

~ J. Edgar Hoover
