My wife has developed a fascination with old farm tractors & NASCAR. This Week in Agribusiness on Saturday morning and racing on Saturday night or Sunday afternoon.
Absolutely no interest in construction equipment, which I just happen to have a bunch of sitting idle at shop 1 & 2 and the annexes.

Godfrey Smith: Mike, I wouldn't worry. Prosperity is just around the corner. Mike Flaherty: Yeah, it's been there a long time. I wish I knew which corner. My Man Godfrey (1936)
The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable. ~ H. L. Mencken
I should see if I can talk Dakkie into escorting her to the Brickyard 400 in July. There's no way I can get away, the last time I talked about leaving town a couple, three of my oldsters about stroked out.
It's weird, she really took to this NASCAR stuff. Personally, I can take it or leave it. One of these days I wouldn't be surprised if she comes home with a Jimmie Johnson tattoo on her tit.

Dang! now that's a true neck-car fan.
Does she want you to grow a mullet?
It may be like hockey; I've heard that when you're in the arena, it's quite entertaining, but I've never had the desire to find out...

No but she's mighty unhappy with my "farmer's tan" from working in the sun all day in a T-shirt & jeans.
Edit: Shirtless & shorts doesn't lend itself real well to contracting. Hell, come to think of it, neither does this effed-up economy. I'm on track to be a quarter mil underwater this year. I figure it's costing me about $50 everytime I turn the key in my truck, $500 if I'm going to a job. I should retire, but you might as well pull the sheet over my head when that happens.

So break out a speedo and flip-flops and get that all-over tan going on for her.

Uh, no. I might break down and try cutting the lawn in shorts and my safety vest.

In my world, only 44% of working age people are employed according to an article I read at ZH a couple weeks ago. Probably half of those are goobermunt jobs, meaning us working stiffs are each carrying three people on the goob dole.
The outcome is bound to be ugly.

"Mr. Prime Minister, there is only one important question facing us, and that is the question whether the white race will survive." -- Leonid Brezhnev to James Callahan
Slightly misleading as the ZOG policy of white genocide didn't have a full head of steam until 50 years ago. (Though white genocide had already begun, with Brown v. Board and desegregation of the army.)

So we met a coal black african at the local festival today. Arrived in 2004.
We asked her if she'd voted for Obama in 2012.
"Yes," she said. "But I had to go into Chicago to do it. Here, they'd ask questions."
