My brother John was taken to Baylor Plano Hospital this morning and is being treated for renal failure. Thank you very much.

Thanks, he's in as good a facility as there is in north Texas, so there's that going for him. Hopefully, it was caused by low back surgery last Wednesday and can be stopped and reversed. I was at near total Liver Failure April 2, '08. I was 63. Between Rick's and Kim's calls, I learned that surgeries often can cause sudden, acute, renal failure; and of course he had that lower-back "remodel" as his doc called it, last Wednesday. He's not outta the woods yet, but he's not alone and lost in them either. When Kim was 4, John got her a motorized go-cart; when she was a junior in HS he got her a Silver Anniversary Edition Corvette. Her idea of driving is about like ours used to be. They got him loaded into the back seat of Kim's Tahoe, laying down; Kim said that John kept telling her to slow down, and she kept telling him to shut-up and close his eyes. Thanks Lod. I read something a while back and thought it was so good I wrote it down and kept it. It is what I would tell my family and friends if I knew I wouldn't be seeing them again in this life.
