In the Mark Lavin show tonight he posed this question:

Why is the MSM all covering the Travon/Zimmerman case. I didn't listen to the full show but I was wondering the same thing.

Could it be Bengazi Gate, IRS Gate, Bummer's war on 'JOURNALISTS, Fast and Furious NSA SPYING on EVERYONE ETC ETC?

No, it's to distract from the amnesty bill.

More than one outrage at a time loses the attention span of the rabble. Ultimately torches, sirens, and dogs work best.

As Big Meanie said, it is to distract from the amnesty/immigration/H1-B visa bill that they are trying to pass.

As for your actual question - keep people confused seems to be one of the motivations. By bombarding people with multiple elements of bad news and scandals it keeps them from focusing on any ONE of the scandals - particularly the ones mentioned which are all important and in need of address.

Because the verdict could result in cities across the country being torched by niggras. Of course it'll be their own hoods that burn, but it'll still be entertaining.

It still has to make it through the House where it faces the most opposition.

True but they are still saying 11 MILLION ILLEGALS, just as they did back in 2000, haven't you been paying attention?

It doesn't matter what they are saying, they are trying to pass it and this Zimmerman trial coverage is a way of distracting people from knowing that they are trying to do it now. They don't want people to protest this bill so they can vote for it without taking heat from their constituents at election time.

Florida was the first state to adopt a "shall issue concealed weapons permit" law.

The gun haters were foaming at the mouth as they predicted shootouts at DisneyWorld and unprecedented domestic and street violence, escalated by the easy access to firearms.

We all know that this dreary future never materialized. But just think of the publicity value if a convicted racist-murderer used his gun permit to hunt down and slay a noble, innocent YBM?

All the other issues that may require distraction also benefit, but that is incidental. This is about saving face for the enemies of personal arms for self defense. And one carefully planned racist murder is worth a million street shootings between two hotheads in minor fender benders or parking place disputes.
