Perusing the new 'Ron Paul Channel' website, the complex 'terms of use' are quite amusing, if not a bit shocking. Reading over all these rules may lead one to ask 'Are these the terms of a hard-core libertarian freedom advocate, or is this nightmare list of rules written by some homeowners-association type control freak?' For starters, the terms state that no 'offensive subject matter' or 'objectionable content' is allowed. Paul's rules also warn that users must pay all taxes and penalties associated with his products to the 'relevant tax authority,' and tops it off by warning users not to violate any 'international law.' Wow. He may also share your personal information with 'local, state, provincial and national authorities in investigations of improper or unlawful activities.' Who determines what is 'Improper'? Ron's website also forbids users from promoting 'discrimination, bigotry, racism' 'against any individual or group,' and forbids content that 'promotes illegal or harmful activities.'
