Too bizarre for words...I may need to play it backward to learn the message...

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Of course not. The purchase is love, not muff. lol

Prostitution? Seriously this stuff happens all the time. Women do it and some men do too. Look at Elizabeth Taylor's men in life. And Joan Collins' men in life. Those men married these gals for their money. And that was legal. What's love got to do with any of this? In the world of legalized prostitution (where the State is involved), love's got nothing to do with the exchange of money. It's just business and any smart prostitute knows the rule of thumb that you never get emotionally involved where there is money at stake.

A million bucks doesn't go very far nowadays, especially when a woman is eager to spend it. I would dare say that the best you could hope for is that million dollars would RENT your love.

He prolly meant that he'd rent her love.

I was told long, long, ago, "Young feller, if it floats, flies, or f**ks, rent it; don't own it."

None of us OWN anybody. Even in the married state, you don't OWN that person. They are not your chattel and nor are they your maker.

Own - as in state approved/licensed to have and hold as long as you keep paying.

The only reason for the license is for the issue of property distribution in the event of divorce. The license has nothing to do with morality. And furthermore, what you keep paying are income taxes. You do not own your personal property when you pay taxes. What you have is a certificate of title to your home that sits on the land (or lot). If you really want to get married, get a lawyer to draw up a pre-nuptial agreement that involves you and the other party. Keep the State out of it.

Keep the State out of it.

It's too late here, Rose, it's way, way, way, too late.

No it depends on where you are. I know of people who have pre-nup agreements and kept the state out of their business. Pre-nup means the State has nothing to do with the unilateral or bilateral agreement between two parties where one pledges a promise in writing to the other party.

Rose, if you wish to be with someone, just do it.

Never involve the state with your bedmate(s).

Just don't.
