A Colorado Republican state senator caused an uproar Wednesday when she suggested that some of the reasons for racial disparities in poverty levels is because blacks eat too much chicken and Mexicans get fat when they move to the United States. “When you look at life expectancy, there are problems in the black race,” said Sen. Vicki Marble during a meeting of the state’s Economic Opportunity Poverty Reduction Task Force. “Sickle-cell anemia is something that comes up, diabetes is something that’s prevalent in the genetic makeup and you just can’t help it.” “Although I’ve got to say, I’ve never had better barbecue and better chicken and ate better in my life than when you go down south,” she said. “I love it.” She went on to say that Mexicans are skinnier in Mexico, where they eat “all of the fresh vegetables.” But when they come to the United States, “they change their diets. I’ve read studies on that. They become Americanized.” “These things aren’t good for you,” she continued. Marble rambled on for about five minutes, moving on to blame government regulations for a “loss of self-respect” in low-income communities. “Our government, with best intentions, put on a lot of regulations which put a lot of people out of work and that took away the most important ingredient to success and that’s self respect,” she said. “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop and a lot of these kids with nothing to do feel, ‘why not? Why not pull off a robbery at the local 7-Eleven?’” Minority families would benefit, she said, from a return to old-fashioned values. “If we would get a few things back in their lives, like a job, religion and family, and understand your genetic predisposition to certain diseases, and give them the responsibility to take care of themselves,” she said. “But that has all been taken away.” Democratic Rep. Rhonda Fields, who is black, took to the microphone and blasted Marble for her remarks. "One of the things I will not tolerate is racist and insensitive comments about African Americans, the color of their skin,” she said. “You mentioned what we eat — I was highly offended by your remarks.” “I will not engage in a dialogue where I’m in the company where you are using the stereotype references about African Americans and chicken and food and all kinds of things,” Fields said. “I will just not tolerate that.” In a written statement, Marble said she didn’t mean to offend anyone. “My comments were not meant to be disparaging to any community,” she wrote. “I am saddened they were taken in that regard.” Committee chairman Rep. John Kefalas cut off the discussion to let tempers cool off. Marble had another obligation and didn’t return to the meeting. “It’s just really sad that this kind of statement and generalizations and stereotypes can come from an elected lawmaker,” Kefalas told the Fort Collins Coloradoan. “It was disconcerting that she made those comments,” he said. “I don’t think she always understands the implications of what she says. Whomever wrote this article fails to realize that (1) whites commit burglaries just as much as blacks and hispanices. and (2) they need to keep religion out of this article because people are dying in the name of religion all over the world. When you start promoting religion, that's where the civil strife begins.

You also might want to watch National Geographic. There is a program called "Drugs Inc". Today I watched Drugs Inc and some journalist was interviewing a white woman who was incarcerated in county jail for numerous burglaries that she did to support her heroin addictions. She has written some book to tell her story of her addictions and how she went about supporting it in Detroit, Michigan. And...I might add this one too.

I know North Hills area very well. It is a multi-ethnic community. Whites, browns, blacks and other mixture of ethnic backgrounds reside there. North Hills was formerly Sepulveda but was changed in 2008 due to the stigma attached to it from drug activities to prostitution. Despite the name change, the problems that formerly plague that area still exist. I would further add that the San Fernando Valley is well noted as the porn capital of the world. I know because I worked in the adult industry for 22 years! www.urbandictionary.com/d...m=san%20fernando%20valley. I know that Valley very well. Some adult clubs in the North Hills, Ca. still exists. They are: Silk Stockings, The Ball (formerly The Odd Ball a nude adult club), VIP Escorts. These are just a few to name.

As everybody knows numbers can be manipulated to appease a certain race of people. What I provided in my posts 8 and 10 were two links. If you bothered to watch that video of that kid in the chimney, Fox ll showed this kid in a stretcher and this kid is white. He was caught in a chimney attempting to commit a burglary in broad daylight. That is a fact. If you have issues with this Contact Fox 11 News. They aired it on last weeks news. Then, I provided a link concerning a white young lady who was arrested for burglary and just so happen to be an aspiring model. I may not have provided statistical numbers to support what you refer to as "wild and crazy remarks about CRIME as it is related to race" but I certainly provided to you from credible news sources of two burglary incidents that happened this year committed by two white people. Perhaps, you should be "upset" with the journalists who dare to expose that white people also commit crimes just as much as Black people. Better yet, why don't you contact the San Fernando Devonshire Police and Palm Springs Police to inquire on the accuracy of those stories yourself.

Yup, but somehow you concluded that it was a white boy that got stuck in the chimney, lol, even though you know that the whites live mostly on the other side of the 405 Fwy. I drove a cab for awhile. When a white guy asked to go to that neighborhood, I knew that it was for drugs and it would be a round trip fare. Do a Google driveby of the 8900 and 9000 block of Orion. Steel fences around every apartment building, "Se Renta" sign at the corner of Orion Ave and Reyes, homemade campershell on the back of a mini pickup in front of 9045 Orion, homeless woman pushing a shopping cart about 50' from the corner of Orion and Reyes, a guy selling vegetables out of the back of his truck at 8940 Orion, a sign that says "Aptos, Disponibles 1,2,& 3 Recamaras / 2 Banos" at 9001 Orion, another "Se Renta" sign and a guy with a mobile 7-11 store in his truck at 9022 Orion, another homeless guy w/ shopping cart in front of 9036 Orion, street blocked off permanently at Orion and Nordoff (IIRC, that's usually done to discourage drug sales). That's just a two block stretch. Does that sound like a white neighborhood to you? I want to watch one of your movies. Name a few. I used to have a couple of roommates that worked in a SFV club 20 years ago. I can't remember the name of it off hand. IIRC, it was in the vacinity of Devonshire, probably between Topanga and Canoga. I'll bet she was going after a better class of swag - like gems or artworks. However, that there are white criminals too is almost an irrelevant point as it is something we already knew. The real bone of contention are the attempts to excuse the actions of black criminals and to deny what the uniform reporting statistics show. However, I also think those numbers result from a variety of factors such as poverty and ignorance. Throw in a healthy dose of resentment and irrational hate and you have real Witches' Brew. Blacks commit more crimes per capita than Caucasians, Asians, or American Indians - and are in a close heat with illegal border crossers from south of us.
That is simply a matter of numbers. Just as the fact, as reflected in the cold hard numbers, that Blacks commit many many more racially motivated crimes against Whites than the other way around.
