My father went to permanently live on Turtle Island last week. My mother went six weeks before that. Both went in their sleep, both went at home, and my sister found both. My father got five extra years since he had a quintuple bypass, prostate cancer and diabetes. My mother got ten years extra because of breaking her hip twice and smoking for 60 years, so her blood vessels were almost clogged.
And I got lots of lots of stuff! My dad's Chevy Lumina, which cost $150 to fix a few problems, his tools, and two suitcases full of various stuff. I wish I had more parents so when they went I'd get their stuff, too!
