WTF?

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

You don't remember ALF? Oh the humanity! Funny little show about an alien (ALF stands for Alien Life Form) who lived with this family and was always trying to catch the cat (named Lucky if I remember correctly) to eat him.

Americans who have no experience with, or knowledge of, tyranny believe that only terrorists will experience the unchecked power of the state. They will believe this until it happens to them, or their children, or their friends.

Honestly, I haven't watched tellie since maybe '96 or so...all I see is Mrs.L's HGTV, some Discovery, and lots and lots of commercials aimed at the brain-dead amongst us.

No wonder that it's called Programming.

ALF ran from 1986-1990.

That was one of my favorite comedies, the sarcastic, sardonic humor! Watched when possible. I think they're re-playing some on cable occasionally.

Same story as all series though, ran out of material.

It's on youtube, at least some of it is. I just checked to find a show of it for Lod. Figured he had missed out if he had never seen ALF.
