War, War, War See other War, War, War Articles Title: Saudi Arabia bribing US, French lawmakers on Syria: American journalist Saudi Arabian spy chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has paid to American and French lawmakers to get their support for a possible military strike against Syria, US investigative journalist Wayne Madsen says. Madsen’s remarks appeared in an article by Dr. James H. Fetzer published on Press TV website on Wednesday. “Wayne Madsen, moreover, has learned from multiple intelligence sources in Washington, London, Beirut, and Paris, that Saudi intelligence chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan has paid off key members of the US Senate and House leadership, as well as key ministers of the French government, with ‘incentive cash’ to support an American and French ‘shock and awe’ military strike on not only Syria but (also) Hezbollah positions in Lebanon,” Fetzer wrote. “Sen. Harry Reid, Sen. John McCain, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Sen. Barbara Boxer and Sen. Robert Menendez, House Speaker John Boehner, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, House Intelligence Committee chairman Mike Rogers, New York’s Peter King, Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and others have seen their campaign chests grow substantially as a result of Bandar’s financial largesse, according to Madsen’s multiple sources,” added Fetzer, who is a McKnight Professor Emeritus at the University of Minnesota Duluth. The war rhetoric against Syria intensified after foreign-backed opposition forces accused the government of President Bashar al-Assad of launching a chemical attack on militant strongholds in the suburbs of Damascus on August 21. Damascus has vehemently denied the accusations, saying the attack was carried out by the militants themselves as a false-flag operation. On Tuesday, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem said Damascus is ready to implement a Russian proposal to place its chemical weapons arsenal under international control. The Russian government proposed the initiative during a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Muallem in Moscow on Monday. "We want to join the convention on the prohibition of chemical weapons. We are ready to observe our obligations in accordance with that convention, including providing all information about these weapons," Muallem said. In response, US President Barack Obama asked Congress to delay a vote on authorizing military action against Syria in order to give the Russian proposal a chance to play out. Syria has been gripped by deadly unrest since March 2011. According to reports, the Western powers and their regional allies -- especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey -- are supporting the militants operating inside Syria. The Israeli firsters named don't need arm twisting to vote for another war for Israel but they always can use more cash. No doubt that the House of Saud holds many, many FRNs. They need to spread them around more often. ;)
