That's a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air from the French movie "Mon Oncle" [1958].

I find those three colors horrible individually, but surprisingly pleasing when combined. Not really sure why.

I don't know what it is, but I think that paint scheme came off really well. Normally my taste in vehicle colors/style runs parallel to director/producer Michael Mann's (Manhunter, Thief, Heat, Miami Vice), though I don't share his fixation with clearance lights on vans & trucks.

There was a pink Studebaker Hawk down the road from us when I was a tyke.

It was always parked on the side of the street for years, and it always caught my eye until one day it wasn't there any more.

It was really pink.
