That's a 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air from the French movie "Mon Oncle" [1958]. I find those three colors horrible individually, but surprisingly pleasing when combined. Not really sure why.

I don't know what it is, but I think that paint scheme came off really well. Normally my taste in vehicle colors/style runs parallel to director/producer Michael Mann's (Manhunter, Thief, Heat, Miami Vice), though I don't share his fixation with clearance lights on vans & trucks.

It was always parked on the side of the street for years, and it always caught my eye until one day it wasn't there any more. It was really pink. Just one of those things that sticks with you somehow . . . Know guns, know safety, know liberty. No guns, no safety, no liberty.
Ugh!! NO, it doesn't work for me. I much prefer something more conventional:

There used to be a house in Marion painted those colors. You can probably guess which part of town.
