For the last several weeks the main stream media has been telling us non-stop that Iranian President Rouhani was a moderate and that he was coming to the opening of the United Nations General Assembly to act like a moderate with his new pen pal, non-moderate Barack Obama. Never before have we seen such a media circus celebrating a breakthrough of nuclear proportions. The New York Times, the paper of record for moderate dictators who support terrorism, even announced on its front pages that the Ayatollah had approved the new moderate tone. Except that the moderate Iranian wasn't moderate after all. The Islamist president left President Obama hanging in the hall by refusing to meet up and shake hands. The White House was left spinning that although they asked, the Iranians thought the whole thing was just too complicated. I mean, those UN hallways can be so confusing, ya'll. And what if one of those moderates got lost trying to meet up? Or what if there wasn't enough room in the hallway for all those other moderate staffers from Iran? It just sounds way too complicated. The media celebrated the almost moment anyway. Twitter was filled with reporters celebrating the fact that after 35 years of isolation, the two leaders almost met. MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell had a piece titled "Rouhani: 'Not Enough Time' for Obama handshake". The moderate Iranian president would still get his moderate title, despite not having enough time for a complicated issue like a handshake. We might believe the White House spin and media cheerleaders if not for the fact that the moderate Iranian president also refused to attend the Heads of State lunch because UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was serving alcohol. Wouldn't a moderate be able to be in the same room as a glass of wine? Oh, and by the way, the moderate Iranian is still the president of the #1 state sponsor of terrorism and is still building a nuclear bomb that he claims isn't but he won't let the UN inspectors in to prove it. Poster Comment: The article states: Oh, and by the way, the moderate Iranian is still the president of the #1 state sponsor of terrorism and is still building a nuclear bomb that he claims isn't but he won't let the UN inspectors in to prove it. This is some nice diatribe by the author in an attempt to further inflame the situation with Iran. ;) Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
