When I lived in Chicago, I was doing deliveries for a woman that had a business making cosmetics. I would deliver this purple fluid to the black beauty shops on the South Side. She told me, "Don't take any checks from those people." By the time I finished I would have between $500 and $800 in cash on me, and I ALWAYS carried a pistol. No one ever tried anything luckily. But, one time I was making a right turn on the far South Side and there was a blast to my left. I floored it and got our of there. I checked the door later and there were a few BB marks on it. I guess some darkie took a pot shot at me. Lucky that was the only damage. ;)
