I wonder how many people will refuse to buy so-called 'health insurance'. I read that some prices have gone up triple to over 7,000 a year.

there may be 'resisters' who simply cant afford it.

I think the idea of forcing people to buy insurance is insane. but most GOPers have been for compulsory auto insurance for years . which is how Obama justified obamacare.

in the 'end' the resisters will be the ones who refuse to have insurance

and then the irs is supposedly going to give them larger fines every year on their taxes.

this will be interesting to watch. but it will not be public inless the person publicizes the penalty.

You are right on all counts. The magic number that Obama is counting on is a minimum of 2.7 Million new healthy young adult sign ups to Obamacare, whose health care spending will increase from an average of $854 a year to $5,800 per year. Sounds like another brilliant brewed in Kenya idea since this demographic has the highest unemployment rate.

When the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act was under debate in the Supreme Court last year, Justice Samuel Alito highlighted a problem with ObamaCare that could ultimately jeopardize the entire viability of the system of insurance exchanges. He pointed out that young, healthy adults currently spend an average of $854 a year on healthcare. However, ObamaCare would require them to purchase insurance policies expected to cost roughly $5,800. These added costs do not stem from additional "services that they are going to consume," he stated. "The mandate is forcing these people to provide a huge subsidy to the insurance companies... to subsidize services that will be received by somebody else."
