(in re post #40) OK, it seems the perp was an 18 y/o girl (likely black) with a kid in the car who hit a barricade at the formerly white house (probably texting while driving). Apparently she fled the scene and ended up near the crapitol building where she was gunned down in cold blood by DeeCee's "finest". She was most likely unarmed. The only gunfire was the goob's. By tomorrow it will morph into several hundred of whatever enemy du jour.

She should have been charged with reckless driving and child endangerment. She did not deserve to be shot and killed for either charge, imho. I read that DC Mayor Vince Gray deemed all city departments - including police - essential services and they're getting paid through the city's budget. 1. were there to stop this attack on the Congress.

I have no idea what was done or said at the scene of the arrest when she was stopped, but it was mentioned above she was surrendering. If that's evident in any way then the cops need to be fitted for orange jumpers. And yes, I get your point about if she were a White guy. He would have assassinated for the speeding charge.

Yes, it finally came out (very belatedly) that this woman did not do any shooting, did not have a gun, but she had tried to crash through the barriers at the White House and then led the police on what (in DC) qualifies as a high-speed chase to the Capitol. You may recall that during the Reagan first term some twit in a costume drove a small truck up to the Washington Monument, claimed to have a nuclear explosive in the truck, and staged a standoff for some hours - finally shot by the cops and it turned out had no weapon at all.

I was happy to know I was doing it all wrong, to me that was success. Unbelievable were the lifers in the military and forty year men in government. I was such a good "sojer" that I sold my winter uniforms to a lifer,in four years I never wore a stripe, utter nonsense, a peon is a peon, first class or no class. The last year I wore a marine corp jacket, said USMC on it, jump boots, a fatigue hat washed so many times my hair stuck out the top. In the FAA, the "climbers" made me sick. Groveling was never my bag. I preferred in their face honesty. I was so proud I couldn't get my hat to fit right for 3 days. :-)

I was in line at my favorite Chinese food place today and I saw the video of this woman in the car. I think that 'patriots' griping about this shooting being an example of tyrannical government are absurd. it's standard MO for cops to shoot anyone near them in a car who doesnt comply or tries to ram them. not that that response is always necessary of course. but I assumed after watching the vid that the woman was on a purposeful suicide mission. (suicide by cop). Irregardless of what people think of the govt, the govt cant allow maniacs to drive thru barricades towards the white house. only a moron would advocate that. Incidentally I have a friend who was shot by a cop for allegedly trying to hit the cop with his car. the cop claimed that he was using his car for 'attempted murder of a police officer' and 'assault with a deadly weapon (his Chrysler) against a police officer.' Numerous bystanders and witness at trial testified otherwise & affirmed that Vincent didn't try to hit anyone. Vincent was shot at 3 times, hit,. Blood everywhere and glass in his eyes, he floored it & escaped, then the cops threatened his wife with taking their kids by CPS so she ratted him out. He spent 2 years in twin towers jail in LA under a million+ bail. facing LIFE IN PRISON, he said F all the lawyers & went for broke. and WON. acquitted by a jury on all charges. As I say on my site, my youtube cannel has over 5 million views but this video interview of him, which i conducted, with only 4,000 views is still my absolute hands-down favorite. Her working and past mental health history aren't clear as yet, but from everything I've read (as of this AM) she hasn't worked over the past year related to a work injury (she fell on her head). There are also numerous mentions of her being both a very nice person and one who was 'disturbed.' The family rightfully is demanding a full investigation, but what isn't in question is that she drove her car in a way that could have caused the death of innocent people, while at the same time having zero regard for her infant daughter who was in the car. It appears she was given every opportunity to end the matter w/o additional violence, but she chose not to. Again, much more needs to be learned about her and her final moments, but IMO she alone set this deadly ball in motion with her reckless conduct.
