Immigration See other Immigration Articles Title: What I Saw At The Naturalization Ceremony—More Immigration Means Welfarism, Crime, And The End Of America Five years ago, my son and I accompanied The Boss to her naturalization ceremony (she’s an Indian immigrant from Trinidad) at the Federal Courthouse in downtown Brooklyn. At first, the families were permitted to be present. But soon we were sent to a waiting area, where we whiled away several hours. I had packed a couple of books, which we read at our cafeteria table, while a huge screen TV blared in the front of the room. At one point, we went to a concession, to pick up some snacks, leaving our bags at the table, to show it was occupied. When we returned, we found two women there, yapping away very loudly in Spanish. I recognized them: they’d been sitting at a table in the front. If they already had a table, why did they move to ours? Easy—to run us off, and take our table. It wasn’t enough for them to have a table. Their enjoyment required depriving whites of one. (I seemed to be the only white around.) But I had a solution: I began edifying them by reading aloud—shouting, really—from my book, even louder than they were speaking. After a few minutes, they departed. We got to witness the big swearing-in ceremony. Every Citizenship And Immigration Services [CIS] worker was herself an immigrant—they bragged about it, while promoting the “America is a nation of immigrants” myth. The agency apparently refuses to hire native-born Americans. You know the old routine about black welfare clients rising above poverty by becoming welfare workers to other blacks? Now we have people going from being an immigrant-client to an immigration worker! Afterwards, The Boss was enraged. During the hours while we waited for her, the immigrant immigration workers had brought out forms for every welfare program under the sun, which they promoted to the candidates, and for which they proceeded to sign them up. This strikes me as illegal as hell. Doesn’t U.S. Immigration law clearly state that an immigrant may not be a public charge? I am also convinced that the citizenship process was lousy with fraud by the CIS workers. The Boss had studied hard for the citizenship exam, learning about who the first president was, about the U.S. Constitution, three branches of government, etc. But it was given by a CIS worker with no written, video or audio record of it. I believe that those workers passed everyone, whether they knew the answers to the questions, or even could speak English. (Federal immigration law mandates that any candidate for citizenship be able to speak and read English. But millions of immigrants have been naturalized who know no English, and who then have demanded that ballots be provided in their native tongues.) Patrick J Buchanan wrote in 1975, in Conservative Votes, Liberal Victories , that it was imperative that the Republican Party reduce and change the radical Left direction of the permanent federal bureaucracy. But Ronald Reagan put only a small dent in the bureaucracy, George I expanded it, and GB II ruled like a liberal Democrat (although they gave him no credit for it). The majority of the healthcare workers The Boss works with are immigrants, mostly from the Caribbean. Although they all work in what is nominally the “private sector,” they are all net tax-eaters. First off, the places they work at are overwhelmingly funded by white taxpayers. (Yes, that indicts the Stix Family, too.) But that’s only part of the story. They all defraud the taxpayers. Although her girlfriends are all married and living with their husbands, and have higher family incomes than we do, they lie on their taxes and on school forms, in order to get much higher tax refunds than they’re entitled to, and to illegally get their kids free school lunches and/or breakfasts. (We earn too much for the free school breakfast/lunch program, and never had any interest in, or applied for it.) Apparently, in each family, each parent files taxes individually, and counts all of the kids as dependents. They may also radically undercount their income on the school forms, as well. As far as I know, there is no documentation requirement. S.744, the Schumer/ Rubio Amnesty/Immigration Surge Bill, would fatally tip the balance of taxpayers to taxeaters, since virtually all of the people being amnestied would be taxeaters. Even the new immigrants that would enter the real (non-taxpayer-subsidized) private sector would diminish, rather than expand the economy. Every one of the new tech workers that people Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg would import under H-1B and other “non-immigrant” visas would displace a qualified American worker. As bad as they are, The Boss’ naturalized immigrant colleagues are the best of the lot. But they are not the sort of people that Barack Obama is targeting with the Amnesty/Immigration Surge Bill. The Amnesty/Immigration Surge Bill would also tip the balance towards criminality. The people to be amnestied are law-breakers by definition. As the late Sonny Bono famously said: “What part of illegal don’t you understand?” Visa overstayers are also here illegally, but don’t count as “criminals,” because their presence is a “civil” infraction.(Crossing the border illegally is crime[8 USC § 1325] good for up to two years in jail—if they ever prosecuted anyone for it.) However, most “non-criminal” illegals also routinely engage in criminal behavior: Breaking labor laws, committing identity theft, tax fraud, driving without a license or insurance, EITC fraud, etc. And Obama wants not just the non-violent criminals I just cited: he wants the cut-throats, too. As the indispensable Neil Munro recently revealed, the writers of the Senate Bill secretly buried language in it that would amnesty every sort of violent criminal, including many murderers. And the notorious DHS has “discretion” over all cases. Munro reports the bill also “would increase the inflow of low-skill refugees from war-torn countries.” The refugee racket has been a magnet for frauds, many of whom are also violent criminals from the world’s most uncivilized countries, like Somalia. [Obama Hides Aid for Criminals in Immigration Bill by Neil Munro, The Daily Caller, September 23, 2013.] Two erstwhile House Texas Republican supporters of the Bill, John Carter and Sam Johnson, have broken with Obama because they concluded that they cannot trust him to enforce even the watered-down laws he has demanded. There is an intimate connection between welfare and crime. Although the racial fairy tale for the past 50 or so years has been that welfare programs prevent crime, which leftists always assert is “caused” by poverty, the 1960s/70s welfare revolution made criminality the norm in poor black neighborhoods across the country. Leftwing social scientists Christopher Jencks, Kathryn Edin, and Laura Lein have shown the connection between welfare and crime, in spite of themselves. [Who’ll Stop the Rain? by Nicholas Stix, The Critical Critic, September 25, 2013.] I must add that, although America’s immigration disaster is dominated by Third Worlders, it’s not just non-whites who have the rip-off-America mentality. Like Emma Lazarus’ poem, the post-1965 system supports the “wretched refuse” of the world. During the early 1990s, I once went on a date with a pretty young Jewish girl from the Ukraine. She said that all of her young friends from back home worked off the books, while sponging off disability or welfare, and thought Americans were idiots for not doing likewise. But Third World “diversity” is probably the major reason that America is fast becoming a police state with ever-increasing security costs and destruction of civil liberties. Diversity’s poster group, blacks, have become so lawless that, in contrast to the 1960s and 1970s, during which every black riot was supposedly a response to “racism,” even occasions for black celebration, such as Indianapolis’ annual Black Expo, now practically require the imposition of martial law. Bloomfield Minnesota’s Mall of America has just beefed up security following the Somali Moslem al Shabaab massacre at Nairobi, Kenya’s Westgate Mall. As VDARE.com’s Brenda Walker noted, this was solely due to importation of violent, jihadist, Somali Moslem “refugees” into the Twin Cities. Public policy brings in primitive, warring peoples from all over the world who proceed to wage war against each other and us on American soil. [After Nairobi Terror Attack, Minnesota's Mall of America Increases Security by Brenda Walker, VDARE.com, September 26, 2013.] New York has kept crime in general down for 20 years through statistical legerdemain, but it kept shootings down through its stop-question-frisk policy, which was overturned last month by federal judge Shira Sheindlin, as violating minorities’ constitutional rights. [NYC Shootings Up After 'Stop-and-Frisk' Ruling by Jamie Schram and Kirstan Conley, The New York Post, September 23, 2013.] It makes a sick sort of sense that the most lawless administration in American history would seek to replace the historic American nation with criminals. For the past 50 years, America’s internal enemies, both the racial socialists and the “conservatives” who have submitted to them, have worked under the assumption that whites would be self-reliant and law-abiding, so that blacks and Hispanics could sponge off of them, and run amok. But as mass immigration and anti-white policies began to reverse America’s demographics, and whites were increasingly dispossessed and disenfranchised, anti-white racists got so full of themselves that they have forgotten that without an essentially white society, there would be no one to pay the bills or obey the law. The normal state of the Third World is a Hobbesian “war of all against all," where life is “nasty, brutish, and short.” The first sign of this in America is what the late Sam Francis called “anarcho-tyranny,” whereby the government tyrannizes hard-working, law-abiding whites, while granting license to non-white, criminal spongers. But even this state of anarcho-tyranny is only transitional. It cannot survive without sufficient whites to enslave. Even Robert Mugabe requires whites to send him free grain. Especially in today’s welfare state, with its perverse incentives, there is no way that America can tolerate any more immigration, legal or illegal. That’s just a long way of saying what the late Milton Friedman said in 12 words: “It’s just obvious you can't have free immigration and a welfare state.” Immigration patriots can and must defeat S.744—in whatever form. They must agitate as though their lives depend on it—because it does. Geez, what an attitude! Here are people who, very likely, made some serious sacrifices to get to America, learned the language, learned enough history to pass the citizenship exam - which means they probably know more history than Michelle Bachmann, and have been behaving themselves for several years while their eligibility worked its way through the system. There's no reason to presume that they are any less willing to work and abide by the law than the Teabaggers.
In order to do these types of jobs, they need training. If they do not have it, they are about as useless as teats on a bull. We do not, after all, have the WPA anymore.
