Resistance See other Resistance Articles Title: Schools Banning Lunches From Home To Push Socialist Agenda How many of you carried lunches from home with you when you went to school? I lived on brown bag lunches through most of my school years including high school, college and through most of my working life. If I wanted to eat, I got up, fixed my lunch and carried it with me, as did millions of other people. One of the reasons I carried my lunch to school is that it was a lot cheaper than buying lunch in the cafeteria. However, thanks to the dictatorial socialist policies of Michele Obama, the days of brown bag lunches are vanishing. First I received an email with a link to the site of a deaf mom identified only as Linda. She posted that her son Zion is a very picky eater and would not eat the lunches provided by the school. A month earlier, Zion’s teacher sent a note home asking Linda to send lunches to school that Zion would eat because he wasn’t eating anything at the school. Linda gladly complied and started sending lunches to school with Zion that he would eat. Then Linda received another note from the school informing her not to send any lunches from home unless she had a doctor’s note stating that it was necessary. Confused about the turn of events, she tried to call the health coordinator as the note stated, but could not get an answer or a response. Knowing that Zion would not eat the school provided lunch, she continued to pack a lunch and send it to school with her son. Again, a note was sent home from the school with a handwritten message at the top from Zion’s teacher. The message stated: “Please do not send a lunch to school unless a doctor’s note is sent it with connection with this letter.” When I read this private website post, I wasn’t sure if it was real or not. I went searching on the internet for any other references to schools banning brown bag lunches from home and I found another occurrence. This time it took place in Chicago at Little Village Academy, a public school on the West Side. Principal Elsa Carmona has banned students from bringing lunches from home. She explained saying: “Nutrition wise, it is better for the children to eat at the school. It’s about the nutrition and the excellent quality food that they are able to serve (in the lunchroom). It’s milk versus a Coke. But with allergies and any medical issue, of course, we would make an exception.” When a reporter showed up at the school to investigate the policy 7th grader Fernando Dominquez stood up in the lunchroom and loudly asked his fellow classmates: “Who thinks the lunch is not good enough?” Numerous students raised their hands and began loudly chanting: “We should bring our own lunch! We should bring our own lunch! We should bring our own lunch!” Fernando turned to the reporter and said: “Do you see the situation?” The school district says that the decision to ban lunches from home is up the individual principals and that they generally make their decision for the nutritional benefits of their students. But what they aren’t saying publicly is that by banning homemade lunches, it forces more students to take the school cafeteria lunches which means more money for the company that provides those lunches. Although more students at Little Village Academy are taking school lunches, many of them are throwing all or most of the lunch into the garbage. Erica Martinez, a parent of a student at the school said: “Some of the kids don’t like the food they give at our school for lunch or breakfast. So it would be a good idea if they could bring their lunch so they could at least eat something.” The school may think they are providing a more nutritional lunch, but what good does it do if the students don’t eat it and throw most of it way? The end result is that more students are going hungry through the rest of the school day than they were before the ban on school lunches. Michele Obama’s school lunch program is forcing more socialistic control over school children. Schools are taking the rights of the parents to feed and provide for their children away from them and giving more rights to the schools. Schools are controlling what the kids can and cannot eat often against parental wishes. Schools are monitoring the activities of students outside of school and punishing them for things that the school has no authority over and the courts are supporting the schools. At the rate things are going, I expect more radical socialistic changes in the public schools under the Obama administration. If too many parents protest, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the parents lose custody of their children like what has been happening in Germany with parents who want to homeschool. It’s obvious that our current liberal leaders care nothing about constitutional rights, values or morals. The family institution is a hindrance to them and taking more control of our children is one of their main ways to destroy the family and it starts with seemingly little things like brown bag lunches. I went to High School with a guy named Pat Ward. He would take his potato chips and crush them in the bag. Then, he would put them on his sandwich. My favorite sangwich is garlic bologna with a slice of american cheese topped with layers of lays potato chips with guldens spicey brown mustard to hold it all in place. And now I'm all hungry. :p

What this is really about is it's not fair for white kids to have a brown bag lunch from mom while the black kids eat the cafeteria food. "If an angry bigot assumes this bountiful cause of Abolition, and comes to me with his last news from Barbados, why should I not say to him, 'Go love thy infant; love thy wood-chopper: be good-natured and modest; have that grace; and never varnish your hard, uncharitable ambition with this incredible tenderness for black folk a thousand miles off. Thy love afar is spite at home.'" hmmm...you might have something there....
