By Martin Hill LibertyFight.com October 23, 2013 A student at a "Red Ribbon Week" event in Chino California grabbed the AR-15 mounted on a police motorcycle and shot the weapon, injuring three people. The incident occurred at Newman Elementary School, only about out a mile from the Chino Police Department. At a press conference held Wednesday evening at the Police station, The public information officer began by saying that the annual 'Red Ribbon' event is held for the students to "provide them with information on safety programs." LibertyFight.com was there and has exclusive coverage of the entire press conference, and well as interviews with neighbors around the school. The police spokeswoman did not answer whether the child was charged in the shooting, nor would she say if the officer was still on duty. Asked about the policy of having loaded weapons around school kids, the spokeswoman said that until the investigation is completed, all Chino motorcycle officers will have the AR-15s removed from police motorcycles. She did not say what they would be replaced with, if anything. [Article continues here.

I have to ask: what possesses a kid to grab a cops rifle and start yanking the trigger??? Was the kid raised in a discipline-free environment without any concept of not touching something that isn't his?????

Seen shootups thousands of times on TV and in movies so why not give it a try. At a young age few youngsters are able to fully consider implications. Maybe an idea for school liaison cops to first take safety lessons. what possesses a kid to grab a cops rifle and start yanking the trigger???

Pardon me. Since nobody else has asked, I have to. Why in the hell was this Popo transporting that weapon with a cartridge in the chamber period? My 1911 is always cocked and locked.
