On the subject of TWA 800, Rivera put forward that the tragedy was caused by an errant missile, that was launched during a Navy exercise, rather than a fuel tank accident. "To any objective observer," Rivero said, "this is absolutely another case of the government screwing up badly and refusing to take responsibility for it." To that end, he mused that the job of maintaining cover-ups, like TWA 800 and the JFK assassination, get passed down to and accumulate with each successive presidential administration, leading to a "monstrous burden for them to support." Regarding the debate over climate change, Rivera argued that the phenomenon is actually a naturally occurring process which is simply being used as a scare tactic to generate money in the form of carbon taxes. He dismissed the concept that human-generated carbon dioxide is the cause of global warming and contended that one volcano releases "more CO2 everyday than all the cars in America." He also noted that water vapor and methane are far more harmful greenhouse agents, but they are rarely blamed for global warming because they cannot be directly linked to human activity like CO2 production and, thus, cannot be wielded to tax the population. Ultimately, Rivera pointed to the hypocrisy of the government pushing for a carbon tax while simultaneously ignoring the dangerous environmental effects of fracking. Rivera observed a similar double standard at work with the current health care debate in America. He posited that if the government was truly concerned with the health of Americans, then they would do more to combat medical malpractice as well as toxic food additives and the GMO industry. On the contrary, Rivera suggested that the new health care law is aimed at reaping additional tax dollars in a desperate attempt to prevent the collapse of our economy. This looming financial disaster, he said, is the "most pressing issue" on the horizon which could erupt anywhere from tomorrow to 2016. "Basically, the whole mess is just strung together tight with all these crisscrossing agendas," he said of the tenuous global economy, "and we're just waiting for that first wire to snap that will cause it all to fall apart. Privacy & Technology: In the first half of the program, software entrepreneur and founder of McAfee Inc., the controversial John McAfee, discussed his life and career as well as why he is critical of NSA surveillance and what he plans to do about it. McAfee recalled how, in 1986, the emergence of the first computer virus was a stunning development that had been unexpected by those in the industry. Upon hearing the news, McAfee said, he simultaneously realized both how the programmers had created the virus as well as how to stop it. After posting his anti-virus program on an Internet message board, "it just went around the world and became, instantly, a required program." This initial success led to the creation of his security software company which has become a juggernaut in the computer industry. McAfee was highly critical of the NSA spying program, which was revealed this past Summer, calling the practice "fundamentally wrong" and lamenting that "we have to have privacy to be human and we're losing that rapidly." Additionally, he warned that this surveillance is likely an even larger problem than the public knows because if the NSA is spying on people, then "so is the FBI, the CIA, the Secret Service, the Army Intelligence, they're all doing it." In response to the NSA spying, McAfee revealed that he has created a new company known as ' Future Tense,' which will feature a "completely secure network" that is fluid and ever-changing and, thus, cannot be breached. However, he pointed out that the music industry has already decried his concept as "dangerous" and "covert agencies" are also not happy with his plans. Despite these challenges, McAfee confidently declared that he will press forward with the project. Rivero was excellent. I'm not sure about Netanyahu and flight 800.
That one's new to me... The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable. ~ H. L. Mencken
