I just hate the commercials they play all the time now about our "heroes" coming back injured and whatnot. Well, being in the wrong place at the wrong time and getting injured doesn't necessarily make anyone a hero. And being halfway around the world killing and injuring people who have done nothing to you most certainly does not make you a hero. Apparently to the morons who make those commercials all that is required to be a "hero" is to wear any kind of government-issued uniform.(1 image)

Agree completely!

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

There ARE some hero's coming out of the gubmint killing sprees. They're the guys who are just in it for the job, that get into a situation where "somebody has to do something"!

I knew a couple.

Thanks Lod.

I have no doubt that some of them have done some heroic things but I am pretty sure that not everyone who puts on one of those uniforms is a "hero." We all know that not everyone who puts on one of those uniforms is a "hero," some are just plain thugs.

What's really dumb founding is when MSM call people who are victims - period - like those in 9/11 - heroes - who deserve commemoration and whose families collect $1 M+ in insurance from taxpayers.

What's dat all about?

Yes, it is strange indeed when victims are called heroes when all they have done is been injured because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. By that logic everyone who gets hurt or killed in a car wreck is a hero. Where and when does this idiocy stop?

Agreed. It appears to me that they're "in Process" of redefining "Hero" to nullify the true meaning of the word and therefore trivialize further our Heritage.
