WASHINGTON - The Marine Corps veteran and activist accused of openly carrying a shotgun in D.C.'s Freedom Plaza has pleaded guilty to drug and weapons charges. Adam Kokesh pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court on Wednesday to marijuana possession and weapons charges, and is scheduled for sentencing Jan. 17. In a 22-second video uploaded to YouTube, Kokesh stands in an empty Freedom Plaza loading a shotgun. The video is dated July 4, 2013. He pleaded guilty to three weapons charges: carrying a rifle or shotgun; an unregistered firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition. He also admitted to a marijuana possession charge linked to smoking the substance near the White House in June. The rifle possession charge carries a penalty of up to five years in prison. The other firearm charges are each up to one year, with potential fines. The drug charge carries up to 180 days behind bars and a fine. Kokesh had been arrested and charged with drug offenses in Fairfax County, Va., in July. He later was transferred from Fairfax County and charged in D.C. with openly carrying a shotgun in violation of D.C. laws.

The rifle was one thing. But that marijuana, that was a threat to national security! I hope he is able to make some good come out of this and educate the public on unjust laws. Even firearms should be permitted. DC is dangerous enough without having to monopolize guns in the hands of thugs and government employees (or do I repeat myself?). John Howard says: There are 4 schools of economics: Democrats don't mind war as long as they can have big government. Republicans don't mind big government as long as they can have war. Doesn't sound as if he has any strategy other than hoping for a lenient judge. What a moron.

Kokesh is a Jew and completely and utterly untrustworthy. The Jew Abbie Hoffman, one of the main leaders of the hippies, killed himself. Perhaps Kokesh will follow Hoffman straight to Hell.

He is a very eloquent and articulate speaker (so's Obama) and has been successful at organizing events and garnering national attention. I was going to elaborate on all he gave up by pleading guilty but just posted "He's done". Who knew he's end game was going to jail or working out a deal to avoid it so that he is never to be trusted by anyone, ever again. What a moron.

I find it odd when I remember how fast I could spin the dial when i saw Lawrence Welk on the screen and now I just stare in some weird facination, like in "The Green Mile". I think it would be fair to say Adam was NOT officer material.
