This veteran wouldn't want to go through such an transformation. I like my long hair and I hate white shirts and ties. It would ruin my image.
Ferret... You and that olde bike. Seems like yesterday, but how long has it been since you first posted photo of the two of you?
X... I fought the killing strong arm of this criminal government for four long years, lost every time, but never once knuckled under. Yet, amidst this hatred for the military and the government, there was still a brotherhood forged among most of the unfortunate that is so disdained by society. As always, the lowest class does the bleeding and dying.
War and its after effects are a sad demonstration of what greed does to the less fortunate amongst us.
It's been quite a while Cyni, good to see ya. I posted that post toyou here before going to bed after work. How have you been doing these days? When I was just being an activist and not back to full time work I used to go to all the Stand downs and other free veteran's events and get whatever free stuff I could get at them, So I am not knocking these folks for trying to lend a helping hand to this guy. I still have that 1988 Cinelli bicycle and still ride quite a bit. But I am getting older and I have a newer carbon fiber framed bicycle I prefer to it because it beats up on my body less than it does. Good to see you. Ferret... You know how we all have those visual images in our brains, ones that never go away? Ones we can recall on demand? I can still bring up that photo of you and that bike. Why? Damned if I know. That must have been around 2000 sometime.
I teared up.
