Plans for next weekend's 50th JFK assassination anniversary include a site away from Dealey Plaza for conspiracy theorists. A group called Coalition on Political Assassinations threatened a lawsuit for space a Dealey Plaza but agreed to a use a parking lot at the corner of Main and Record streets instead. "I don't like it," said author Robert Groden, who says he has visited Dealey Plaza every week for 19 years to discuss conspiracy theories with visitors. "The city has a very arrogant attitude about all of this." Visitor Jordan Lamont was in Downtown Dallas on Friday to purchase Groden's latest book. "I think they should be in the park," he said. "It's their right, First Amendment right." Lamont and his mother, Hope, visited the assassination site for the first time Friday to avoid the crowds expected next weekend. "It's very touching, very touching," Hope Lamont said. "I didn't think it would affect me like this after 50 years, but it did." Dallas officials have said they want to present a dignified memorial on Nov. 22. There will be heavy security at the Dealey Plaza site with fences to allow only ticket holders selected in advance. Groden said conspiracy theorists have always been dignified. "We've always taken the proper respect," he said. "We do this because we do care about the memory of President Kennedy a hell of a lot more than the city ever did."

I honestly don't remember at this point. I might have seen him on a DFW news station in the past if he's there that much, but I don't remember.
