It speaks to me in a way that lets me feel what our country means to Americans who are 40 or 50, even 60 years younger than I am. If it isn't so already, this going to be YOUR country any day now and you will have to maintain it, nurture it and keep it great. This version of the National Anthem, for the first time, has caused me to feel the energy, the sense of determination, and the attachment that you guys feel for our country. If you represent the nation coming along behind me, I am pleased.

I am pleased to say that hearing this, in just a few minutes, has caused me to change my mind about the future. I may not agree with you guys on everything. [...] I have worried about who would take care of my country after I am gone. I won't worry any more. The Country is going to be OK. If you are representative of the men and women who will take over when I move on, I have nothing to worry about.

This is going to sound as trite and as phony as can be. But, I will sleep better tonight knowing that young people with the feeling and understanding that you all put in your music, are moving into a time for our country that is different from the time that I have known, and still are strong enough to pick up the flag and carry it on all of our behalf.
