PHOENIX — Action-movie star Steven Seagal says he is considering a run for Arizona governor.

The "Marked for Death" actor told KNXV-TV that he is considering a shot at the state's highest office and has had a talk about the bid with the self-proclaimed toughest sheriff in America.

The 61-year-old made the comments while talking about his newly released reality series "Steven Seagal - Lawman: Maricopa County."

Seagal teamed up with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio for the show that was shot in Arizona and airs on cable TV's Reelz Channel.

The martial arts expert is a member of Arpaio's posse, made up of 3,000 unpaid civilians. He also has been deputized with sheriff's offices in New Mexico, Texas and Louisiana and says he wants to increase border security.

Wow! Who knew that there is a Hollywood actor who dares not to be in lock step with the other communists of his profession?

From what I have seen--admittedly not a lot--of his willingness to go on no-knock raids something tells me he may not be a great friend of liberty. Just a guess on my part.

Here's some old footage of him as a badass aikido master:

If he would go down to the border and inflict some damage on illegal invaders, that would be a refreshing change from the two-party surrender on immigration.

I don't give a crap what his ethnicity is. If he would take that oath seriously, the one he would have to take to hold the office, I wouldn't give a damn if he were a Martian. But I strongly suspect that his being willing to be shown on camera acting like a Nazi stormtrooper speaks volumes about how he might act as governor.

There is no doubt that he is a serious student of martial arts and he is good at it. As for him going to the border and helping halt the invasion of the illegals I wouldn't mind that. But I do mind cops with their no-knock raids tearing people's doors off the hinges and killing people's pets. And I have seen clips of a show that advertises he is in it where they are kicking some guys door in. And you know they don't just knock on the door and say "We have a warrant" like they used to. Now they got to dress up like a bunch of ninjas with their bdu's and terrorize everyone in the house and they are, at times, at the wrong address. I would never associate myself with any such criminal activity.

I was a member of the CB Posse, but they changed the name to CB Patrol because they were getting too much heat over the name. It was still some good stuff. ;)

Before investing time or faith in this guy, it would be prudent to learn if he maintains a dual citizenship from israel.

Sheriff Richard Mack resides in the Phoenix area. Whether or not Seagal receives an endorsement from Sheriff Mack will be very telling in regard to your concern.

If I recall correctly segal has bush adoration syndrome/neocon tendencies. I now have a new project to research to verify all this.

I did a lot of digging on arpaio many years back & that guy is a dreadful pos. Despite his fan club arpaio is no friend of liberty, that I know for sure.

I know a guy in Chicago that had a bit part in a Seagal flick. He told me Seagal was supposed to pull the punch, but he didn't. He really knocked him down with a shot to the solar plexus.

I did that to a guy at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago who was moshing in the crowd at the back of the aisle. I got an open shot on him and he went down like a sack of potatoes. ;)
