Microsoft is currently working on the next version of the Windows operating system and has a tentative release date of April 2015. According to digitaltrends.com, this next version of Windows is codenamed "Threshold" within the company, but will probably be called Windows 9 eventually. This new version is aimed at leaving behind some of the criticisms associated with Windows 8, allowing Microsoft to move forward with a clean slate, says Techradar.com. Windows 8 has set back Microsoft, and Windows, by years, and possibly for good, says Winsupersite.com. Winsupersite.com also tells us that Microsoft will discuss its vision for the future of Windows at the BUILD developer conference in April 2014, the latter to hit just weeks after Microsoft completes its corporate reorganization. Maturing and fixing the "Metro" design language used by Windows will be a major focus area of "Threshold".

Went Mac and not looking back.
Every time a new Windows is released it gets paned by geeks and ends up being beloved by them within a few years.
XP is a good example. When it was released everybody hated it and it was full of bugs. Everybody loved 98 and warned against XP. I almost took a sledge hammer to my first XP machine. Now many love XP, and those who dont love 7.
When 9 comes out, people will be clinging to their beloved 8.

Have we found the one person who never heard of Vista?

Vista was not as bad as the hype. No Microsoft product is as bad as the hype, that was my point. MS is the company that everyone loves to hate, and people willingly swallow all the negative F.U.D. whether it is true or not.

I'm no MS fanboi, just a long time computer nerd who has seen it all.
I currently use Mac because Mac suits my needs better than Win8. It's just a machine.

It's just a machine.

Bottom line truth from the OK.
