Abraham Foxman says Israeli spy’s lengthy incarceration is sign of ‘ongoing vendetta’ against the American Jewish community The Anti-Defamation League’s national director, Abraham Foxman, criticized the continued imprisonment of convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, calling it “on the verge of anti-Semitism.” Foxman was quoted on the Pollard case in several Israeli news outlets on Tuesday, and echoed a statement he issued on the case earlier this month. Someone is trying to teach the American-Jewish community a loyalty lesson, Foxman asserted in an interview Tuesday with Israel’s Army Radio. ”That to me is on the verge of anti-Semitism,” he said. In a January 16 statement, Foxman said that when Pollard was sentenced in a plea bargain 28 years ago, many claimed that the sentence was anti-Semitic; however, an ADL investigation concluded there was no basis for such an accusation. Still, Foxman said, the fact that Pollard remains in prison despite having spied for an ally shows that there is an “ongoing vendetta” against him. Foxman adds: “If it were only a vendetta against one individual it would be bad enough. But it has now become one against the American Jewish community.” Foxman called for Pollard’s parole on humanitarian grounds. He called Pollard’s continued imprisonment “an effort to intimidate American Jews. And, it is an intimidation that can only be based on an anti-Semitic stereotype about the Jewish community, one that we have seen confirmed in our public opinion polls over the years, the belief that American Jews are more loyal to Israel than to their own country, the United States.” The Foxman statement was in response to an editorial in Tablet Magazine which called for clemency for Pollard. An increasing number of figures involved in government when Pollard was given a 1987 life sentence for spying for Israel now believe his sentence should be commuted and have been calling for clemency. Poster Comment: The grasping fat Jew doesn't have a leg to stand upon. Spying and treason might well be an integral part of Jewish "culture". However Pollard is no low level spook who can be exchanged and he's lucky that he wasn't hanged or taken for a trip to the woods.. Anyone who uses the anti Semitism card to try to guilt trip people into freeing a guy who spied for a foreign nation needs to have their loyalty called into question. Deport Abe Foxman now. Someone would have to be a complete idiot not to see that his loyalties do not lie first with the country he currently lives in. Innocent "American jews" are not being tossed into prison left and right. Abe is aware of this, so how exactly does the intimidation factor come into play here? Maybe he is afraid of jews like himself facing some kind of problems as a Sayanim.

Perhaps the real message is, an ally that spies on us is not an ally at all. It could be argued that Pollard's crimes were worse than those committed by known Cold War enemies, because Israel worked to gain our trust and obtain access to state secrets. The idea that we should decide what to share with Israel would never occur to the wormy bastards. Yet another reason why they ain't such rock solid allies at all. If the govt releases Fatty then they should jerk the security clearances of every other dually. As allies who are entitled to spy they should certainly understand why, and because that's what they'd do if circs were reversed. (Of course Israel would never allow any foreign dually Goyim access to the secret rooms or files, which is why they believe us to be stupid enough to swallow their chutzpah) They won't admit it but Pollard's sentence has put a serious dent in their recruitment and espionage efforts. The prospect of life in a federal pen where no NGO or lawyer regardless of influence or sheer brilliance can retrieve them is the one thing that penetrates their arrogant sense of entitlement. It's the same reason why capital punishment is still on the books. It's the only thing that black murderers fear. Life imprisonment would be a step up in quality of life for many blacks. And it tickles many folks to hear condemned prisoners speak about the diabolical death penalty, instead of arrogantly gloating as prison heroes they way Colin Ferguson does to this day. Ferguson left CA (where he bought his gun) and went to NY (where there was no death penalty then) to launch his white killing spree.
