Very good. Nice music and "the good guy won" (at least that is what the squirrel thought). Beautiful bird though.

Amazing photography and editing...how did they get the shot from inside the tree?

A very small camera I suppose.

For those who root for the squirrel consider that squirrels (and mourning doves) are the terrestrial (and avian) equivalent of plankton. They breed in great numbers to feed the slower reproducing critters farther up the food chain that hunt them.

And though the squirrel was able to out-maneuver a Red Tailed Hawk, his luck will likely run out if pursued by a Goshawk, which can fly like an F-18 through dense forests.

The Red Tailed Hawk will have much better luck swooping down on unsuspecting field mice and baby rabbits in open areas. And very few squirrels die of hardening of the arteries because of age. If they produce even as single litter of their own kind then they've fulfilled their biological imperative and may be cheerfully gobbled up with no risk of depleting the species.

It's funny to recall how my kids used to fight over the last squirrel Mama fried up.

That's why they're known as tree-rats down here.
