Wait for it: he busts out with what he's seen on JBS "footage". A but of a rude shock for some, I'm sure. Not family friendly.

I found the Guardian video on YouTube so you can more easily share it. Should be popular with the Right.

Should be popular with the Right.

There were plenty of "right-leaning" and self-professed "right-wingers" demanding David Koresh's head on a platter. He wasn't a sympathetic figure after what the media did to him. A common reaction to the incidents at Waco and Ruby Ridge were "they brought it on themselves, how could they do that to their own loved ones?"

Americans need to understand that the government is a deadly tool. Sometimes "for the children," it's better to hold back and let things work out on their own. But I think Hicks sums it up well. In fact, from the left to the right in this country the prevailing attitude is that the government is a tool for implementing change and improvement to society in the most basic ways. The right wants to put the Ten Commandments in our faces. The left wants to abolish differences between people. The "moderate middle" wants to keep Walmart open for business above anything else. Meanwhile, it's Winter's Bone out there.

I do not know anyone on the Right who defended Waco. Only liberals sided with Clinton and Janet Reno. I do not count Washington politicians as representing me and my views though some like McCain carry the R label.

Plenty of white trash still have W04 and McCain 08 stickers on their 4WD vehicles. The Walmart middle class leans that way too. Your "right" and the rest of the country's "right" are two different animals. Statistically, your right is an insignificant constituency, either not big enough in numbers, or not voting, or not making their votes count. Regardless of why, Ron Paul's right hasn't made much of an impact yet.

Hicks didn't have your educated, inquisitive, open-minded kind of "right American" in mind when he belittled rural and southern whites. Remember that his true anger was reserved for the Clinton/Reno gang, but let's also remember Bush #1 was in office during Ruby Ridge, and plenty of rightist white trash voted for him.

It is what it is. American capacity to reason has been gutted from within. That's equally a problem on the left and the right. When it comes to government intrusion, both sides rally for their own pet causes often staging the contest in the public school system or the halls of justice. Either way, they want to use the government to have their cultural preferences implemented. This strengthens government in the long run. The correct answer at this point is to expect less from government, not more.

The question is how to turn it back around from the inside, as well. My opinion is that Focus on the Family and the Knights of Columbus aren't helping. I think Hicks made that clear too.

We're entering a dangerous time relative to 2008. The "right" will present us with an alternative to the Obama fiasco, and masses of Americans will again look to the President with hope and optimism. Instead of asking for less, millions of "right whites" are going to give us another Zionist and he'll promise cultural values popular with rural types. In other words, Obama was an obvious problem to rural Americans. The next president will start out as their friend.

I do not know anyone on the Right who defended Waco.

Had Bush 1 won reelection there would have been millions on the right cheering his death. The power of the media, which is so transparent to us, still holds enormous sway over the legions of dim ones.
