The descendants of Cain and Seth are listed in Genesis 4 and 5. Cain had a son named Enoch. Seth had a son named Enosh who had a son named Kenan. Canaanites are described separately from Kenites in Genesis 15:19-21. They are associated with Jericho/City of Palms, showing kindness to the Hebrews and traveling with them into Canaan. The wife and father-in-law of Moses were Kenites. His father-in-law is said to have been a Midianite, a land suggested to have been in the Northwest of the Arabian Peninsula. It is associated with the descendants of Midian, who is listed as the fourth of Abraham's six sons by his wife, Keturah. Kenites are a clan of Judah listed through Caleb and the Rechabite-Kenites are a subset similar to the alcohol-abstaining Nazarites.
