The majority of Americans are opposed to another US military intervention in the Middle East as efforts by hawkish and lunatic elements in Congress, who are influenced by Israeli policy, continue to push the Obama administration into a conflict in Syria, an international lawyer in Indonesia says. Its quite clear the American people have no interest whatsoever in going to war either in Syria or in Iran, Barry Grossman told Press TV on Tuesday. But there are these hawkish elements that seem to have a lot of more influence in setting American foreign policy at this point and certainly who seem heavily influence by Israeli policy. Military officials say the Pentagon remains prepared to carry out military options inside Syria, which were presented to the White House last year.
