Men clearly notice how wonderful professional make-up looks on celebrities and models, but when it comes to their spouses, girlfriends, or daughters, most prefer no make-up at all. If you cant get on a boat or a beach because it ruins your face, men have little sympathy and really cant fathom how this could be a serious issue. The temptation to cover flaws with make-up can be overwhelming, but eventually it must come off. Evidently long-term success in a relationship might be enhanced by fresh, radiant skin that stays that way for decades. Only natural health can provide that. Natural skin treatment doesnt need to be sold with nebulous soft-pedal (or petal) marketing. Natural skin care is just like whole foodsinherently biochemically superior. Similarly, while more expensive initially, both become fabulous investments because they maintain repair, and heal, satisfying fundamental cravings of the body. Used regularly, less of a natural skin product is needed over time, not more. Ill need a few posts to get out all the secrets. Lets start with the most fundamental treatment, skin lotions. Virtually all body lotions and many facial lotions are based on mineral oil (petrolatum). This is a saturated carbon chain refined from crude oil. Called alkanes, their properties change as the chain lengthens: 1 carbon methane, 3 carbons butane.......natural gas 8 carbons octane......gasoline (liquid) ~15-20 (liquid)........mineral oil 20-25.........petroleum jelly ~30.........paraffin (wax) Ever wonder why Vaseline® is so greasy? Its because it sits on top of your skin and doesnt get absorbed! Every skin lotion or lip balm based on a petrolatum/water emulsion is designed to moisten skin immediately, by reducing the evaporation of water, but it hardly penetrates and never rejuvenates. Of course the product must be reapplied and reapplied to stop flaky, brittle, or ashy skin appearance. Lips remain chapped and addicted to lip balm. As for reducing the signs of aging, no way! Its not even possible, let alone a marketing probability. There I said, it, youre putting the JELL-O version of gasoline on your skin. Skin oils are derived from fatty acids and triglycerides, not alkanes. This is where the natural products industry can help. Natural polyunsaturated oils such as sunflower, safflower, almond, and borage have chemical structures similar to skin oils and are absorbed and incorporated into your skins barrier oils. Damage and dryness can actually be reversed. To further enhance skin flexibility and moisture, I recommend 2-3 grams fish or krill oil and 2-3 grams borage, evening primrose, or black currant seed oil daily. Does he mean topically or ingested as a supplement?
I'm pretty sure to be taken orally.
Yes, he's referring to oral consumption. One of the better topical oils that I have found is organic sesame oil. But the problem of dry skin can only be solved by the right internal nutrients and oils to enable the body to properly absorb and use the oils. Nothing applied to the skin penetrates very far into the tissues. It just eliminates surface cracking and flaking on a temporary basis.
