MOSCOW, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Moscow categorically ruled out any possibility of Ukraine joining NATO, a senior Russian diplomat said Thursday.

"This will happen in no circumstances. It is impossible," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzya told reporters.

He stressed that both Russia and NATO understood very well the consequences of Ukraine becoming a member of the Euro-Atlantic defence alliance.

"I can imagine Ukraine's participation in NATO neither now, nor in the future," he said.

On Wednesday, Ukrainian lawmakers introduced a bill that would cancel the country's nonaligned status and allow it to join military alliances. The bill could be voted on next week.

Amid a political crisis in Ukraine, NATO warned earlier this week it was cutting back cooperation with Russia to try to pressure it into backing down on Ukraine.

NATO announced Wednesday it had suspended planning for the first NATO-Russia joint naval mission to escort shipments of Syria's chemical weapons.

Poster Comment:

Ukrainians may be dumb enough to fall for Jew trickery to have them become aligned with Israel-friendly NATO instead of maintaining military neutrality like the Swiss and instead enjoying benefits from cordial relations with EU and Russia.

What am I missing here?

I don't get the point, the goal, the end game of Bammy's Admin stirring up trouble with Russia.

Isn't the US military in Afghanistan 100% dependent on good will with Russia because Russia is key to their supply line??? Pissing off Putin for no reason puts our soldiers serving in Afghanistan at risk. It's shameful behavior for a CIC and presents yet another good reason to have that ignorant putz in the WH impeached.

While calls mount on Capitol Hill to robustly punish Russia for its incursion into Crimea, some officials in the back halls of the Pentagon are privately pushing for restraint.

That’s because senior US military officials are well aware that a key supply line in and out of Afghanistan runs through Russia.

That supply line, known as the Northern Distribution Network, or NDN, brings food, water, and building materials that keep US troops in Afghanistan fed and America’s longest war going.

Negotiating the NDN was a labor-intensive endeavor, and the Pentagon does not want to lose it, particularly as the spring fighting season in Afghanistan is set to begin soon.

“It’s been a heck of a process and of course we’re always looking out for any disruptions to it,” says a senior defense official. “Political problems with Russia is certainly one of them.”

Bammy's Admin stirring up trouble with Russia.

And that's what Israel wants until Russia, like US, adopts a pro-Israel policy and stops jailing its Jew agents who tried to siphon Russian oil money into Israel. And stops doing business with Iran about whom Zionists are particulaly paranoid.

Ask yourself the question: Is there anything more important to each of the two political sides in Congress than being assured of Jew organizational and financial support at election time?
