Faces of fear at the beach Ellen Whinnett 14dec05

THEY are blonde, tanned and wearing designer surfie labels, and they claim the beach as their own. Pictures

Sarah, 20, and Melanie, 22, despise the Lebanese Australian community and are happy to say so.

They drove from nearby Engadine to wave the Australian flag at North Cronulla and make a statement against the Lebanese community.

"This is our beach and we're here to claim it back," Melanie said.

"You can't go to the beach without the Lebs yelling stuff out.

"Because of that we've come here to take it back."

Both young women say they will answer a text-message call to rally at Cronulla on Sunday and intimidate any Australians of Lebanese descent who dare to show up.

"They're taking over our beach," Melanie said.

"They've got their own beach at Brighton, they can go back there.

"They took over La Perouse and now they've taken over Brighton."

Sarah said she believed she had the right to wave the Australian flag as a way of supporting Australian culture.

But the RSL is horrified the flag has been seized on by mobs involved in Sydney's race riots.

Across Cronulla angry locals are defiantly hanging flags in windows and over balconies.

Young men wave flags from car windows as they chant "Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi."

NSW RSL president Don Rowe said he was also disgusted by reports that men of Lebanese descent had torn down and burnt a flag at Brighton-Le-Sands.

"That really disgusts us and it should be a criminal offence for anyone who desecrates the Australian flag," Mr Rowe said.

Youths were heading for Cronulla beach last night despite a heavy police presence to prevent a repeat of the violent scenes on Monday night, when carloads of Lebanese Australians ran amok, smashing windows and cars and beating passers-by.

Locals last night set up what they called "Leb Watch", a twist on the traditional Neighbourhood Watch concept.

Young men parked in vehicles along the main roads into Cronulla watching for men of Middle Eastern appearance and alerting others further down the road to be ready for them.

The craft was manned by a crew that had been frozen to death. The heating equipment of the ship had been destroyed and the unimaginable cold of outer space had done the rest. The result was instant death for the men who were the last of the Trigans, all that were left of a once-mighty civilization, pride of the planet Elekton.

This whole episode confuses me. What are we not being told. Why can't the Aussies and the Lebanese get along? For the rancor to have grown to this point, some external influence must be taking place. My first thought is that the Lebanese men are intolerant of the "Western" lifestyle of the Aussies, but I have no basis for that, it's just speculation.

From what I gather it is a turf battle. I believe the Lebs started it by attacking two volunteer life guards and claiming the beach was theirs. I could be mistaken but I think that's what started it.

If that's the case then the Lebs deserve a good ass kicking. Sounds like they might get it.

More the straw that broke the camel's back.

There's a prior history going back years of harassment and aggression by roving groups of Lebanese thugs, including a few cases of gang rape of Anglo-Australian girls. Similar to what's happened in Denmark/Netherlands.

Police and the government in general have been playing ostrich; their abdication guaranteed something like this would happen eventually.

Is it really about race, or is race just the symptom? Wanna bet that somewhere in the Aussie subconscious they understand that the threat they are sensing is economic? "We are losing our . . . (fill in the blank)".

It's true -- in bull markets, people feel optimistic and inclusive; at tops insanely so. (At bottoms, they're insanely exclusive.)

Think of the multicultists as the sociological analogue of New Economy/globalist/free trade shills.

If there's one thing we should know after reviewing 5000 years of recorded history, it's that people from one tribe generally don't get along with people from another tribe - certainly not when they face any kind of limited resources. It may not be a wonderful thing to behold, and I'm not lauding or praising or encouraging it - but there it is. Human nature in all it's...glory. Whatever the Aussies are doing now, the Lebanese have probably or - will probably - do to them. This is why we should consider immigration policy particularly carefully as history shows us it is far more common for people of different backgrounds to fight when forced together, than to learn to get along. That's why I look at the British and European immigration "policies" (and ours too) and just shake my head. So now the Muslims are acting up, and burning things down and raising hell - what did they expect? The Europeans deliberately allowed an underclass to be created that will not, or cannot assimilate. This is the logical end result. The same is probably true of the Aussies.

When ideology cracks heads with human nature, human nature wins.

But yeah, "Miss C" thinks it's about race:

"I looked in his eyes. I had never seen such indifference," one 18-year-old victim, codenamed Miss C, told the court, remembering one of the 14 men who called her "Aussie pig", gang raped her 25 times over a six-hour period in Bankstown and Chullora, and then turned a hose on her. "I'm going to f*** you Leb style," he said.

(A socionomist might be intrigued by the timing of this sensational crime.)

There's a wonderful little series called The Cartoon History of the Universe. One frame from that is especially relevent here: An Assyrian (or Hittite or something) soldier, infant of the enemy spitted upon the spear over his shoulder, kneeling down and soothing his own child's boo-boo.

Ain't nothing changed in millenia.

Ain't that the truth. Hey, are you familiar with Otzi, the frozen Ice Age guy they found in the Alps (now that they're melting)? I think he's about 5000 or so years old and I believe he's the oldest mummy of whatever type we've found. Anyway, poor Otzi apparently died from arrow wounds.....

This is a tremendous problem with the Muslims. Personally I don't think our western culture and theirs are remotely compatible and I think it's stupid and counterproductive to either try to do so, or to pretend that we are. Let's just get down to brass tacks and say we don't get along. As everyone knows, the Muslims have a great disrespect for women in general, and are noted for their bad and sometimes horrendous treatment of the western women unfortunate enough to get involved with them, or abducted by them. I'm afraid there's no kumbaya solution to this one. Once you start raping other people's women, the lines are drawn.

LOL! .. in nature one species will be dominate.. and Gause's Law of Exclusion states that multiple animal species with the same requirements cannot coexist for any length of time in the same habitat. .and those whose purpose is to cause conflict are fully aware of this law.. IMO it's purposeful and inevitable.

I would bet that the birth rate of the Lebanese is about 4 times that of the native Aussies. It is just a matter of time. Same here with new groups entering the country. Just a matter of time. Birth rates and votes is one of the big reasons Israel simply can't "take in" non Jewish groups who eventually will take political control.

No doubt.. the birth rate of people in 3rd world countries is quite high in comparison to western countries.. Of course those who are proponents of this know exactly what the outcome will be.. more than one way to bring down a country.. and this is the easiest way.. let nature take its course ..

I don't know if there is a "Lebanese" race.

I was under the impression that Lebanon was made up of many different ethnic groups, many of which are Christians.
