Miguel Garcia (D-Albuquerque) enthusiastically backed both Frank Otero and Andrew Barreras in their bids for House seats, but under a section of the e-mail entitled Treachery in Our Ranks Undermine Barreras and Otero, Garcia wrote: A minority of unsuspecting Democratic leaders are supporting the Democratic Anglo newcomer opponents in Andrews and Franks primary races. Anglo Democrats with egos as big as Texas, mouths as big as the Grand Canyon, and much green [moolah] from the East and the West Coast. Otero quickly condemned the statement against his primary opponent. I just dont believe in that, he said to KRQE. My grandmother was half-Hispanic and half-Anglo. Some of those comments are offensive even to my family. Those kind of comments just dont fly in any capacity. Barreras said that he hadnt seen the e-mail yet. But when a reporter contacted Garcia concerning his statement, the state representative was quick to snap at him. I did not send the e-mail to the media, Garcia wrote to him. I have nothing to share regarding my email seeking support for two outstanding candidates. Unfortunately it seems that such race-based rhetoric is on the rise. Just a few days ago, a college news site reported that universities across America were banning all-you-can-eat taco buffets held on campus for charity because a handful of students called them racist. And earlier this month, media analyst Mark Dice interviewed Obama supporters in San Diego, Cali. who suggested that its racist not to like Mexican food. Dice came up with a narrative in which Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) remarked that he didnt like Mexican food and that President Obama asked him to resign. I think people in his district should consider voting for somebody else, said one woman. Even more, some Obama supporters even think its racist to oppose the wealth-confiscation scheme known as Obamacare. Racist and ridiculous, one supporter said in response to an anti-Obamacare ad. White race-traitor dems are gonna get theirs, too. This is just the beginning. :))) Republicans prefer white genocide to paying taxes or paying more for strawberries. |
