I was here in the library recently and there was a guy here who told me he is planning on moving to Hawaii. "Nice", I told him. "Just make sure you are on high ground so that when the Antarctic ice cap melts, you do not get flooded out." ROTFLOL!

We are in the middle of an Ice Age that lasts millions of years. Therefore, the ice caps will not melt. We are fortunate to be living in one of the 10,000 to 15,000 year 2 degree C increase warm periods within our Ice Age. In millions of years, when our current Ice Age ends, global tempertures will rise to normal about 11 degrees C above the present temperture.

Since the current warm period is near its end, our concern should be global temperturn decreasing 2 degrees C and returning to our Ice Age, and not any increase in temperture.

Considering that Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa are both over 13,000 ft. i don't think he has much to worry about. A lot of other states would be underwater first.

Russian meteorologists have predicted that Earth is entering a period of global cooling that could last 200-250 years. ;)

That might be another Little Ice Age that occured from about 1350 to 1850 with a couple of warm periods in between.

As long as he is not on beachfront property. He said the lots were, I think, 5,000 sq. ft. or so.

When Washington was at Valley Forge, there was an awful lot of snow on the ground. ;)
