Agreed. Many were chased away with rude behavior and turned this forum into an echo chamber. Some deserved it but still...

I joined FR in about 2000. Jog my memory about the ads.

I joined in late 1998. I remember the ad. It was George Washington with a tear in his eye.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me. I may have donated to it, but won't swear to that.

Okay, thanks for the link. I believe Registered created the George Washington one.

Wow, that was so long ago. I got banned in 2004 but I still have fond memories of those times and the FReakers I met. Good people in general, played like pawns like I was.

Thanks again.

My banning from FR. Oddly enough it was not for anything I had done on FR.

Thanks for posting something that refreshed olde memories.

I use to post this to stir the pot after Rimjob sold out....

"I am tired of the daily flying of the anti-semetic flag on FR".

I would post that and out would come Rimjobs little doobies looking for blood.

That SOB and his doobies were operating a paid political machine in the background, on the backs of innocent posters.

If I recall, Howlin was a mad woman from down south somewhere and she ended up getting canned. Cannot recall for sure.

Howling, I could have gone the rest of my life without ever reading that name. It took me a while to see what was going on with FR. Local guy and I formed a chapter of FR here. This was back when there was an active chapter in DC. Our first real project was a property rights protest. We were organizing a rally here in California to start off a traveling protest that would end in Florida were vets were having their property stolen. Our posts were time sensitive so like other chapters we posted our threads in breaking news. Someone kept taking them down. My co-leader and I couldn't get an answer as to why. My co-leader got banned for asking. We finally found out through rumor. Jeb Bush was up for re-election that year and he had supported the property theft. JR was afraid that if our protest grew legs it would hurt his re-election. Then at a later date they protected a political operative who was pushing for the election of Arnold. People supporting McClintock were getting banned, including me, while the lackey was protected. It was so much bullshit.

RimJob is a weak, petty man.

When we were doing the newspaper ads, it occurred to me, that he was being forced into the background, intellectually he had nothing to add.

I suspect he thought others would take his personal sandbox away.

I assume you are using the term man loosely.

I assume you are using the term man loosely.

Indeed...

Many years ago, before he could strike out at people by banning them, I put him in the cross hairs, to see if he had a fear factor, of personal truth.

Rimjob and a gaggle of his sycophants were waxing hot about people that took ANY government handout in any form.

They were a self righteous group if ever there was one. Patting each other on the back because they were conservative stalwarts.

Rimjob was leading them like a pack of hounds, hot on the trail of the dastardly fox.

I politely chimed in with this, "There are few Americans that have not taken of government handouts". The toadies immediately jumped on my case, on and on, the language would curl a sailors hair. Knowing Rimjob had once been in the military, I set the trap.

Rimjob knew who I was aiming for. I offered to prove there was no one present that had NOT taken Federal handouts, one way or the other, all they had to do was answer a few questions.

Before anyone could ante up, Rimjob started spilling his guts about a time that he and his wife had fallen on hard times, and he being a navy veteran, had been "forced" onto a Federal dole. He laid it all out.

The toadies had urgent business to tend to, either they left or went mute. For once Rimjob told the truth.
