I watched it with interest last night. Fascinating interview. The young man comes across as acting on his convictions with determination. He's opened many eyes to things our goobermint has been doing for years - and unfortunately, will continue to do.

That's why he's treated with such hostility by the media and their masters, the goobermint - he exposed them for all to see.

Yes, that will be very interesting news whenever it hits. And the reactions should be fun to read about too.

Perhaps you recall when Kennedy said publicly that he knew he was being monitored, recorded?

Which Kennedy? I don't recall that news item, but it doesn't surprise me in the least.

I watch how pro football coaches try to mask their lips while coaching live games.

I like how Snowden told Williams about how his 'throw away' cell phone could be used to capture info from an innocent sports score search on Google. He advised others visiting him to place their cell phones in the refrigerator. Smart guy.

FM: he exposed them for all to see.
I am waiting for the other shoe to drop.

We can be sure that most well-known opinionated people will be on the list. Will that news have an impact? Tongues will wag and the consensus will be: they deserve it. The right will say that the ADL, Planned Parenthood, Ralph Nader, Glenn Greenwald and Cynthia McKinney were worthy of spying, and the left will say that the GOA, NRA, Pat Buchanan, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck were well-deserving.

The undecided middle will say nothing, as usual. A few unknowns will pop up on the list. The blogosphere will respond with a resounding "we told you so, those were bad people!"

I wish this information would change the minds of average citizens but I doubt it will. This is the America we've chosen.

Will that news have an impact?

Not on the public at large, however it will on the named persons that until now have considered themselves as "insiders".

There is where it will be of interest to the public.

Take any political and or power group, there are always those that are members but in hiding.

Yes, for years the kooks (in the know) knew about No_Such*Agency. Now it's old hat to call them by their real name.

One of my buddies works for them and I probably shouldn't have typed that. Oh, well. He gave me an agency ball cap with recording device (joke) - of course, it was made in China.

It's bad enough that the goobermint tracks us - I hate it when the corporatists do it. I upgraded to Windoze 8.1 recently and I hate it.

Kooks????

I first was introduced to NSA way back in 1951/52. We were all amazed at the intelligence they provided. Their photo interpreters and analysts were the best.

Of course back then they were not a rogue agency, being foreign oriented only. When Clinton was president, I was at NSA and interviewed the Air Force contingent commander, a female Major with about a thousand analysts in her sector alone at NSA.

It's all of us. THAT's the other shoe dropping. The only folks left out of the party are the few modern-day prospectors/fur-trappers/malcontents/drifters still living out in the sticks in the desert or up in Alaska.

I do not watch TV, so did not see the interview with Snowden.

However, after viewing on the internet, I agree with Williams, Snowden is a brilliant young man.

There was one thing Snowden should have elaborated on, that being that his superiors DID NOT KNOW NOR UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS GOING ON, WHAT WAS BEING DONE.

Every American needs to acquire a megaphone and repeat "D.C. - go fuck yourself, we quit."

"Resolve to serve no more,” he says, “and you are at once freed. I do not ask that you place hands upon the tyrant to topple him over, but simply that you support him no longer; then you will behold him, like a great Colossus whose pedestal has been pulled away, fall of his own weight and break in pieces.”

Two observations came across very plainly.

Snowden is brilliant and Williams played the interview square, something unusual for the media.

Quite obvious, Snowden should be president and Obongo should be on the run and wanted by the law.
