Unless that farmer has a few greenhouses some of that produce wouldn't even be in season at the same time.

My best road side produce story was several years back, coming home from Lake Buchanan when I spotted a vendor pimping tomatoes, etc, so I got a basket of 'maters.

When I got home and was washing the 'maters, there were the produce stickers from HEB (a regional grocer) still stuck on my "vine-ripened" prizes.

True story.
