If push comes to shove, will any/all branches obey Prez who tells them to attack The People?

Is there any honor left serving right now for what amounts to a stage prop for gay porn??

Yes...

History proves that.

The first time was Washington taking 12,000 men to PA to arrest 150 Americans for treason. Their offense? Refusing to pay taxes.

If someone says shoot, that constitutes a lawful order, it will happen.

Just because it's an order, does not make it lawful.

There is not going to be total obedience, this time; I hope and pray.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

Theres the catch.

The lowly grunt IS NOT THE ONE THAT IS ALLOWED TO DETERMINE IF THE ORDER IS LAWFUL. He is the one with the gun and is not allowed to make decisions, if he does, he gets shot.

Bergdahl walked and he must answer for that. Civilians want to hang him without a trial. If the military hangs him, they are going to have to justify killing innocents, so they have a problem.

On the net are several photos and narrative of American GIs machine gunning German POWs lined up against a wall in WWII.

The grunt on the gun is crying because he is killing innocent men for nothing, however, it was a lawful order by his...SUPERIOR...

Who answered for that atrocity?????? Should the grunt have been shot for obeying an unlawful order? If he refused, the Army would have shot him for disobeying a lawful order.

The grunt is screwed, both ways, yes they will shoot Americans.

You must have forgotten the fraggings in the "Bungle in the Jungle."

There are quite a few southern boys in the military who will raise their middle fingers, and take their tank with them when they leave.

I don't think you will have to worry about that.

No.

I cheered on every one of them.

A friend of mine I was with during the Korean thing stayed because he wanted to fly the hot jets. I tried to dissuade him with no success.

When Johnson was given a mandate by the "patriotic voters", war became a certainty. My friend was yanked out of jets, given an old prop driven interdiction aircraft and sent to war. He flew 160 missions, low level troop support, many at night. When the grunts were begging for help, he would go.

What was his reward? When the government was satisfied the end of the Vietnam thing was in sight, he was thrown out of the military, excess baggage. Too olde for the airlines, his flying days were over. He died young, many years ago.

No one remains virgins in the military for very long.
