Brat Wrote That Hitler's Rise Could Happen Again

David Brat (R), who upset House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) in a primary Tuesday, wrote in 2011 that Hitler's rise "could all happen again, quite easily," the Wall Street Journal reports.

He wrote: "Capitalism is here to stay, and we need a church model that corresponds to that reality. Read Nietzsche. Nietzsche's diagnosis of the weak modern Christian democratic man was spot on. Jesus was a great man. Jesus said he was the Son of God. Jesus made things happen. Jesus had faith. Jesus actually made people better. Then came the Christians. What happened? What went wrong? We appear to be a bit passive. Hitler came along, and he did not meet with unified resistance. I have the sinking feeling that it could all happen again, quite easily."

Never mind the usual scaremongering about The Return of "Hitler!!", what about the return of a couple of real despots: Stalin and Mao? Oh, wait........

9) Laura Ingraham is a huge Brat fan. Moneyed conservative outside groups weren't a major factor in this race. But certain endorsements from conservative media figures may have been. Laura Ingraham, a nationally syndicated talk radio host who has guest hosted on Fox News, endorsed Brat and attended a rally for him last week. "The establishment has had its way for election cycle after election cycle," she said. Conservative author Ann Coulter also endorsed Brat. She objected a Cantor remark that "immigration reform could be an economic boon to this country," called it "baby-talk," and said Cantor must be stopped.

Ingraham is a Zionist (love for Rand goes a long way with them) and Coulter loves the war on terror.

I still think this guy is better than Cantor.

X-15...

We need to keep Brat at arms length for awhile.

Is difficult to conceive that one could have a masters in theology, and follow concepts of Ayn Rand.

"11) Brat has a a Master of Divinity in Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. "Before deciding to focus on economics, he wanted to be a professor of systematic theology and cites John Calvin, Karl Barth, and Reinhold Niebuhr as influences," Woodruff reports.

12) Brat headed a controversial, Randian-funded economics program at his college. As Danielle Kurtzleben explains here, this is the BB&T Moral Foundations of Capitalism program, which has been controversial at other universities for including Ayn Rand's ideas in its curricula. The program's funder, former BB&T bank CEO John Allison, has been a long-time promoter of Rand's philosophy".

Agreed. Boehner's tears are enough to make me happy.

First they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Blacks, and I did not speak out because I was not a Black. Then they came for the Latinos, and I did not speak out because I was not a Latino. Then they came to my door and told me taxes were down, the streets were secure and ninety percent of conflict in society was over.

What Jews didn't do

Seeing Eric Kantor unceremoniously dumped is worth the price of admission, even if Brat turns out to be a closet progressive or neo-commie. I hold out no illusions that a real fundamental conservative can be elected and not be corrupted in DeeCee by the onslaught of booze and little boys that are proffered to the legislative freshmen.

Hitler was a bogeyman sold to us much like Osama Bin Landen was by the Jews. One thing is for sure, if you are getting your news and history from Jewish owned sources then it is likely bull shit.

God is always good!
