Shafaq News / High-level Iraqi security source revealed that 7000 American soldiers have arrived to Iraq.

The source told “Shafaq News" that “ 4000 troops arrived in Baghdad and 3000 troops arrived in Sulaymaniyah city ."

The source who asked for anonymity didn’t reveal any further details.

It may not seem like it some days, but we should be discouraging unsourced/unverified news reports here. I'll call for Obama's impeachment if he does this. (As if I haven't wanted to for a long time.)

Don't forget that up to 250 troops (as is being reported in the MSM) will require logistical support. Not all who fly into an area of operations are combatants.

Calls for deployment don't always mean that they leave for a theater, or that they arrive in the hot area directly. They can be moved to Qattar or Kuwait, etc... for more rapid deployment.

Obama doesn't want to get dinged for leaving unprotected Americans in Iraq as he did in Benghazi.

Still, this is looking like a re-invasion to me so in the long run you may be right. I just want us to use care in spreading disinformation that could be misused or misunderstood. We have enough of that here already.

From what I've read we have at least 1k troops and an unknown number of contractors in Baghdad. One thousand, seven thousand, it doesn't make a difference. With the Bergdahl president established watch for more than a few of these kids vanish into the night.
