House Democrats campaign arm sends one, maybe two, emails asking for money in any given day, usually with a subject that expresses some sense of urgency or a mention of the Koch brothers to grab would-be donors attention. On Wednesday, however, the DCCC sent eight emails, four of which made reference to the lawsuit Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) plans to file over President Barack Obamas illegal executive actions. The barrage of emails related to the lawsuit started off at 12:22 pm: The included this quaint donor counter featuring President Obama: The DCCC followed up with a second email about the lawsuit at 3:37 pm, this one supposedly from House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), noting that all donations would be triple-matched: Another email came in not long after, this one showing a graphic of Boehner. Notice that the logo in the bottom-left looks an awful lot like a play off of the Fox News logo: The last email came in at 6:41 pm. Pelosi really, some staff writer at the DCCC pushes the donor goal up to 22,500 from the original 20,000. Yeah, were not going to even bother with the email that will, almost certainly, declare victory and that Democratic donors have sent some sort of message Boehner and Republicans. Why? Because its sickening and downright hypocritical for Democrats sign off on executive overreach that is worse than what they complained about under President George W. Bush. I taught constitutional law for 10 years. I take the Constitution very seriously, said then-candidate Obama in 2008 to applause from supporters. The biggest problems that were facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all, and thats what I intend to reverse when Im president of the United States of America. You know, Obama was right to criticize Bushs executive overreach, but, unfortunately, these were meaningless words. He got into office and actually expanded the power of the presidency. Obama and Democrats have no principles. They just want control. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread
