Can't smoke in a pub. Pretty soon it'll be booze.

Not many people still love England. I'm now more patriotic than anyone!

Lydon meets Conan in 2011.

On the Clash: Marxist sayings set to music.
On life: it's precious and Cobain hadn't learned it.

Johnny Rotten thrown off Rosanne Barr TV Show for being "rude" while filming back stage (with permission).

Thanks for dropping in. Lydon appears to have matured well. Did you hear him say that history was his favorite subject and he always had it on with his teacher? That history was full of lies?

Get them Arabs out of Iraq!

hahahaha

Thanks for posting that, Lydon is the most conservative person I know of. I'd love to see him debate Al Gore about employer mandated contraception or affirmative action musicians union gigs.

Have you read No Blacks, no Dogs, no Irish (whatever the hell it's called), Lydon's autobio? I recommend it to everyone, he is a witty writer in addition to being a public menace.

Sounds like a good read. I posted this because of your post of God Save the Queen on the Beatles thread, and because Lydon does a double-take on what's happened to England.

Just as we are today about the US of A.

This Lydon's Tour of London also tripped another switch in my brain.

As they were travelling down the streets of London, a lot of looked familiar. I have never been to London, but spent the better part of a decade (off and on) racing through the old city in Microsoft's Midtown Madness 2.

They discontinued support/gaming rooms for MM2 at least 10 years ago, but I was always intrigued by the city mapping features, it seems like modern software maps could be snagged to turn any city in the world into a virtual race course.

Johnny should buy himself an upper left incisor.

“The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out... without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane, intolerable.” ~ H. L. Mencken

It's just like he said, it's all about commerce. I wonder what his opinion on 9/11 would be.
