We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.” ― Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn ~~~~~~~~ It's quite ironic that many Americans fear the loss of our freedom without a shot being fired (without a declaration of war), but those same folks seem eager to get on the trigger, giving no thought to winning without grabbing bugout bags and going to the mattresses. If Americans are indeed champing at the bit, anxious to shoot liberals, DEMs, pro choicers, atheists, college professors, Mexicans, homos, cops (and Mexican homo cops) etc., as a quick fix to our nation's problems, then it could be that we no longer have enough character to uphold the ideals upon which America was founded. It would be tougher to pass through the proverbial eye and restore America without becoming addicted to the smell of burnt nitro powder, but we'd still respect (or relearn how to respect) the rights of the individual. Any other solution (as one might expect from GW Bush's and/or Obama's closet fanatics and supporters) will leave America in ruins like ancient Rome. Solzhenitsyn's alternate history would have been the correct course of action for that place at that time. But, I'm not convinced that America is destined for a hot war unless through benign neglect we make it a self fulfilling prophesy. And the new application of America's principles would be as meaningless as Freemasonry's "limited Universal Brotherhood" requiring only wormy judges and politicians to protect favored insiders. They have pitted us against each other and come at us from all directions. Maybe the best we can do is teach a few others what has been going on so their numbers might be greater. We are in wake up mode, the solutions will come. Good will overcome evil but, not yet.
~~~~~~~~ Jeez, that sounds glum. Cheer up, man. I don't think things will have a chance to progress that far. I think civilized society will collapse and those guns will be turned on the walking dead who wander from the big cities into the countryside in search of sustenance. Eventually, it'll be every man for himself.
