I'm betting that it wasn't seized by TSA-it was koon kifed.

In the 60's I took a bus to (and from) Charleston, SC from Norfolk, VA. The only thing that could be stolen was the Fender amp fuse and fuse cap, (I removed the vacuum tubes and control knobs) and needless to say it was missing when I arrived. Theft of everything is SOP at airports, bus and rail stations. They even busted a scheme where the loot from luggage was divvied up with the TSA supervisor, who made sure that he posed no obstacle.

Like shoplifting it's a favorite crime of minorities (blacks are disproportionately represented in arrest stats) as reparations for "4,000 years of American slavery".

An unspoken cultural entitlement if you will.
