I bailed after the "pole up your ass" suggestion; but it was a spirited show of force and sentiment against illegal aliens.

The Times has a long history of spinning the truth. When the truth cannot be spun, they omit and ignore.
That is a mind blower studded with seeming firsts -- the first time I've seen evidence that the Israeli government is resisting acting on the problem for instance. The imp Knesseteer with Arabic surname says it's a fight against assimilation!? That's pretty bold. Apparently these are general asylum seekers, not putative black African Jews like the Falashas. That whole affair turned sour almost as fast as it was tricked up two decades ago in an attempt to evade the UN's accusation that Zionism is racism. Nobody shows or mentions any Falashas; are they getting to stay even though they too are hated?
