Title: This is What Good Cops Do. MSHP Captain Marches with Protesters in Ferguson. Riots Come to a Halt

On Thursday afternoon Missouri State Highway Patrol Captain and 27 year veteran of the force, Ronald S. Johnson, was announced to be taking over security decisions in the outraged city of Ferguson. Local law enforcement intends to stay involved, but highway patrol is now directly on the ground.

During the press conference held by Governor Nixon, Johnson stated, “We are going to have a different approach and have the approach that we’re in this together”, and so far, he wasn’t lying. As several thousand gathered to march Tuesday evening, the tone seemed entirely different.

People online watched tweets with baited breath waiting for the tear gas, swat, and violence from police we have seen in recent days. Except that didn’t happen.

What did happen was an amazing show of what happens when police remove their helmets and treat people with dignity, and it was beautiful. “When I see a young lady cry because of fear of this uniform, that’s a problem. We’ve got to solve that.” Johnson said.

The new man in charge assured the crowd there would be no blocked streets, no more disproportionate force, and actually marched side by side with the protestors.

I think this one statement shouted out over the megaphone is a glowing example of what the world would be like without militarized police treating us as an enemy-

“They respect us, so let’s respect them. They’ve given us the sidewalk so lets stay out of their street.”

lol

No, none of the above

Nor am I dumb enough to be in East LA, Oakland, St. Louis, South Chicago, Harlem walking down the street all by your friendly cracker self singing Kumbayah.

That would be stupid, just as stupid as pointing a rifle at someone who hasn't done anything and demanding respect.

I don't care about Ferg Mo and there racial problems, neither do I care about yours.

What I do care about is "law enforcement" acting as gods. Body cavity searches on public streets, smashing into peoples homes abusing the residents killing there dogs and finding out they have the wrong house.

Unless you haven't noticed they don't care what color you are, check out the news sometime.

Remember Boston, they closed down an entire city, forced everyone out of there homes for search. No warrants, not even probable cause.

And guess what, most of those people were white.

I do have a nice tan, but just so you know, and not that I see where it matters, Im "white", have a nice home, drive a nice car and love God and women.

Around here, Im not considered a good ol boy. If you look at "law enforcement" wrong or do anything they seem to see as a violation you will be stopped. In their eyes, were all scum and scum comes in many shades of colors.

But you go right ahead and cheer on the ass kick'in and pay no attention to the new normal in "law enforcement".

Just be careful you don't spill your sweet tea on your keyboard while you laugh at my reply. ya'all have a nice day

Perhaps enlightenment is needed.

Anyone that cares to look, the State Trooper is BLACK and from that area.

That is why he is there, BECAUSE HE IS BLACK.

Before running off at the mouth, at least learn to read, and know what the facts are, especially anyone having a thin skin.

Hey Cyni, I grew up in a mixed neighborhood during the 60s and we had race riots, I belonged to a gang that called itself Blanco Zela (white power). We took ball bats to school and his them on the 79 square acre campus so that we could brawl with the blacks during lunch period.

The point of this post is to say that my best friend as a kid was real friendly with a local cop. The cop admitted to us that he and other cops would drink on duty and go down what was then Indiana Blvd. and shoot their guns over Negroe,s heads just to watch them scatter.

What concerns me is that there are many good blacks that get sucked into a hate whitey frame of mind when a dirty cop kills one of their kids.

I do not know that that's the case in this incident.

When I was in Vietnam I smoked pot pretty regularly with a black guy named Charlie Rice. He told me that someday (back in the world) he might have to kill me. Not that he disliked me, but that was just how things would roll out.

One other thing, my roomie in Nam was a black guy named Tommy Porter. He was my friend and buddy throughout the year I spent there. He was a 1st class stand up guy. He didn't like what was happening with the radical blacks wearing braided black wrist bands and giving "dap" which amounted to threatening whitey.

All I can say is that had I been born black I would likely have been violent about it.

no...It all boils down to this.

Insurrection is WANTED in this country by the GOVERNMENT so that they can use the iron fist, to crush anyone they desire and blacks are aiding and abetting the bastards.

See any whites looting and burning? Well, someone needs to do it so the iron fist can be used. Blacks are unknowingly being used and in the end, ALL OF US WILL PAY THE PRICE.

All of us will pay one day and blacks will wonder how it happened.

I agree. The govt is stoking the fire and the bankers are funding the militarization of policing entities. Those are the true enemies.

Blacks are being used, by the government they voted for and they are so blinded by hate, they cannot see what is coming for all of us.

Divide and conquer is what the government is doing, even if it takes tanks to crush the masses.

With all the financial and social terror the bastard politicians have thrown at US, they're now drafting White papers that claim we are the ones who will become violent. The groundwork they are laying is clear to thinkers, but the oafs to our right and left will eagerly join in the hunt when commanded.

Yes indeed.

The coming iron fist will be color blind, blacks need to understand that.

Not too surprising document considering that pencil neck desk jockey departments like Treasury were being armed with military grade equipment since BamBam has been in office. Tanks had to be for something other than traveling to CPA conferences, eh?

So in this regard, local police are being seduced by the Feds with big expensive artillery, munitions to view ordinary citizenry as being "the potential enemy" rather than the taxpayers they are hired to serve and protect.

I used to think police stood between us and the bad guys.

Maybe not so much now if they have been brain washed to think we are the bad guys.

DHS’s seven-page report entitled Domestic Violent Extremists Pose a Threat to Government Officials and Law Enforcement points to the recent murders of two Las Vegas law enforcement officers as evidence that there is a “growing trend of anti-government violence compared to the previous four years and inspired by perceived government overreach and oppression” and the “perceived victory at Bunkervile” will “likely prompt more violence.”

From www.breitbart.com/Big-Gov...-Anti-Government-Violence

I agree that left/center/right will joint the hunt.

But the above bold remark, 'perceived victory' lays out the battle lines. It's peaceful, voting, well-adjusted citizens and their duly elected government and its executive instruments of law enforcement against malfeasance.

The Bundy outcome was justice for all and set an example of citizens uniting for liberty, yet it's being depicted as the victory of lawlessness. Personally, I'd like to praise the restraint on both sides of that incident. No shots were fired by either side, and the American people won in more ways than one. This should go down in history like the better Vietnam-era anti-war sit-ins and marches where both sides successfully negotiated a resolution. If things had gone the other way, we may have remembered Bundy Ranch as another Kent State.

Yet DHS and its sympathizers in the press make the Bundy situation appear as if America was only represented by the law-enforcement and political side of the disagreement.
